A Kobe Bryant Sub-Forum? The Answer to our Prayers?
Here's the place to let your feelings known on this topic, and more importantly to let your vote count. I think Kobe lovers and Kobe haters and impartial observers would all enjoy the format.
What say you?

Ehh..I think an "All things Kobe go here" thread would be better.

No, there won't be a Kobe Bryant sub-forum.

It's a good idea in theory, but I'm not sure it would really work. People would still be creating threads here about him, especially if the sub-forum was in the Lakers forum. People are just going to have to control themselves if they don't want to talk about him, but they do want to talk about him. Even haters love talking about him.

Don't you have problems of trolls wanting to go into the Lakers forum to bash Kobe?
Trust me. Haters will follow where the Kobe threads are. I would post in a Kobe sub-forum. Some days I really feel the need to vent some Kobe hate, and having a one stop shop, would be kind of good. Go there, unload the bile, then go to the NBA general board with a clean slate.
The best moderator for it would probably be Compsiguy, since he is on the one hand, a Laker fan, and on the other a Kobe hater. Jamel might also be good, but he's doing a lot of other boards.

Re: A Kobe Bryant Sub-Forum? The Answer to our Prayers?
Also it should be noted that it's not just Kobe haters or Kobe lovers asking for this, it's also the impartials. It just seems like it's worth a try. What is the worst that could happen?
Subforums have cleaned up many a board. When a guy has a good game, I think it's a good general rule to let the thread ride for the night on the main board, and then move it afterwards to the approriate board.
I mean, at the end of the day, once people get used to it, it's not like at the end of the day people have a lack of things to say about Kobe. It may start out slow at first, but I bet it outstrips most of the smaller boards on here.

Actually people just need to create more Lebron threads on the Cavs forum. The Cavs forum needs more action as it is. People should see it more as a one stop place to discuss Lebron, because all of the best Lebron experts are at that forum. But we oddly don't get many posters coming in from the outside. If it got big enough, I'm pretty sure Remy would create a sub-forum there. But I don't think there's as much people want to talk about with Lebron. When Lebron has a good night, there's not nearly as many people punching holes in it. When Kobe has a night like Lebron normally has, there are still 9 pages of back and forth. When Lebron has that kind of night, we're just kind of like "ho hum, another good night, who's next?"

Re: A Kobe Bryant Sub-Forum? The Answer to our Prayers?
What is stopping this from getting done?
The real question is why not? None of the excuses have been shown to hold any water. Let's give it a try. If it fails, we can always change things. But why not give it a shot? You guys have been toying with this idea for some time. Let's take the plunge.

Re: A Kobe Bryant Sub-Forum? The Answer to our Prayers?
It wouldn't work. People would start creating ridiculous threads since they'd see the forum as a license to discuss anything and everything in Kobe's life. And, no they don't go quite that far yet.
