Is anyone having problems posting from new computers?

Dunno if it's the operating system or something else, but I've never had this problem before. Keep getting a "your post must be longer than two characters" message.

I have Windows 8 on my phone and I haven't had any problems posting to websites/forums. Is it just one site or is it across multiple ones?

This is the only site I've had any problems. I can view every post, but both the quick reply and the traditional reply page won't send.

I guess I'll try using a different browser.

My brother hates it and he gets paid a great deal of money to mess around with computers. It really looks to me like Windows 8 is geared towards mobile devices more than desktops and laptops, because that is where the market for operating systems is moving.

This sounds like a simple incompatibility problem with your browser and VS though. Try their other sites and see if they are the same way.

I'm sticking with Windows 7 on this desktop and my laptop and that will be my last foray into Microsoft products. The only reason I still use them is my prime contractor requires PGP Desktop security software and Mac's version sucks. And for a couple of other reasons.

But Microsoft just plain sucks. Windows 8 looks "toyish" and I can't see it scaring Apple even a little bit.
