The system itself is pretty tame. What confuses me is the way its enforced. For instance I've only ever received one point, yet Ron told me I constantly break site rules. And then despite having only one point he told me he would ban me if I ever mock a teams name again.

Shouldn't I be getting infracted for breaking rules? And shouldn't I only be suspended when I reach those thresholds?

The system seemed way too nice. A major infraction like insulting members was only worth like 2 points. Staff would warn you first, then immediately infract you. That does nothing because the infraction is only 2 points so would care if they got warned, the infracted? In theory you can be warned for insulting members which is no points, then given three more infraction chances on top of that (2 points per one infraction) before you are banned based on the system.

No complaints here. Just seemed quite lenient and allowed members to really not give two shits about the system.

To be clear he did say suspension, but if I got suspended I wouldn't come back. Back when this site was good and we had staff that respected and enforced rules consistently I wouldn't even be having this discussion. But now? It's like McDonalds telling you you can't eat their food for a month. Would you be standing outside after 30 days dying to get back in?

But for the topic, yeah the system sucks. Either use it or scrap it and go the subjective merit route.
