So we here on staff here took a pile of flak for demoting this douchebag, and he smugly sat on the sidelines egging on the crowd, never once letting them know that the reason he'd been removed is that he requested it. Yeah, let me tell you, that guy has been an invaluable asset by dialing up the tween drama to 106.

You want truth? Here's truth? I didn't whine and complain that things weren't being done my way. It's not about "my way", it's about what makes sense. Maybe you had a problem with an admin from another site trying to give you advice. It's not my fault that quite a few staff members agreed with me. Put your pride aside and listen to your staff. Stop thinking you know it all because if you did, you wouldn't have so many people, including your own staff (I've never seen that happen before) calling admins out all the time.

When Basel (words can't fathom how good of an admin he is) left staff, anything that needed admin attention had to wait for days, weeks, or even in cases months because none of you paid attention to anything. Or if you did, you simply ignored it which is the last thing an admin should do. You were too busy making your little inactive vacation thread that nobody posted in. BlueBaron (good admin) is the only admin that stepped up in Basel's absence which is ridiculous considering the high number of admins on this forum. Dissonance did a couple things but he seems quiet for the most part.

You don't believe me? What about the guy on the forum leader/staff list right now under the probationary usergroup? Go check it. I mentioned that to Ron in November and what do you know? That guy is still on the staff list here in January because nobody pays attention. Or what about the time Ron freaked out in November over something in the Lakers board. He made reference to an admin being listed as a mod in there, and that it should never be the case. I told him back in Novemeber to check the staff list because it's like that everywhere. What do you know. Nothing changed and it's January. Check R-Star's last thread that was dumped where RollWithEm said he mentioned something that needed to be done in November and it was never done.

I left because I was tired of admin incompetence. My staff don't have to worry about waiting days, weeks or months for issues that need admin involvement. If I'm not online to give them an answer, you better believe one of the other two admins will give them an answer and the issue will be settled immediately by the end of that day. They also don't have to worry about getting threatened by admins or told to shut up if they have an opinion. And what do you know? I've never had one situation where staff members called out admins and I've been an admin since October 2008. We all get along and there's never any arguments.

This isn't about me. It's about you. I've never, ever, ever seen admins get called out the way they do on here by staff. How about the admin that made the troll thread to make fun of some member in the NBA forum? How about the fact that, that same troll thread was dumped by one of his own mods? How embarrassing is that? And to think I tried to defend that admin with this hierarchy bullshit when the staff members jumped on the admin about that. I was smoking serious crack. Funny that the admin never replied to staff either and simply swept it under the rug like everything else.

Or what about you getting called out by staff in public threads? Or what about the admins who insult members because they are admins and nobody will check them?

You need to look in the mirror. How many times have you been called out not only by members but by staff? And to think you're some good admin. A good admin does not get called out by their own staff numerous times.

Well, I'm aware of the first part, not the second (I guess I don't pay enough attention in EBB). We've been discussing the language filter policy around here recently and we've agreed that it's going to expand some, but we still haven't agreed on the extent. When we do finalise it we will announce it clearly, never fear.

I completely agree. He should never have been promoted. That's 100% on us. We ****ed up in that regard.

You know, there was one time, back when he was on staff, when one of the original BBB members tried to get all the staff on board to overhaul this place. That we stop waiting for VS to save us and figure out what we could do on our end, and this guy basically spent the entire thread complaining about all the crap we don't have here and how much he disliked the rest of us, etc.. And in the process ruined what was intended to be a constructive thread with all the tween drama.

The ultimate result is that we lost one of the old timers. And one of the few people here that really gave a damn about the actual community. And that's what you've all lost track of. All of you. You want to know something? **** Verticalscope. This community existed before they came along and if I have anything to say about it it will exist after they're gone. Who has lost track of the fact things were better before VS? Everyone has stated that time and again over the years. I don't see why someone doesn't just say how much the site is worth and see if someone wants to buy it....

As far as you guys trying to rally the troops prior to VS taking over, what the hell happened since then? Because its clear some passion has been lost.


No ones trying to shit on anyone here. But its obvious some things have changed, and at this point it just seems there's two guys who do whatever they want and we all get to watch it go down in flames. I'm not privy to behind the scenes stuff, so that's my view of it. With the skewed rules for certain members (myself included), thread editing/locking, threats, etc.

All anyone here wants is to try to get things to where it was prior to VS coming on board.

Actually, I wasn't the one that made that decision, as you well know, because in your first post in this "constructive" thread you chose to hurl invective at the person who did. Now, I saw your thread yesterday, and let it go, because that's just who I am. I can take the hits. I looked today, had you restricted yourself to insulting me, I would again have left it to other staff members to decide what to do with it. But you didn't. So I did my job. I gave you the infraction and removed the offending text. Live with it.

And you want to know something? We actually do have special rules for you, because if we dealt with you per the ToS we would have permabanned you years ago. But you're part of the community so we always let you back no matter how many times we suspend you. Not that I expect you to understand what I'm saying.
