For most stuff, it does. Especially for observations during basketball games that people post here. You could easily just tweet that, and then people would reply to it, and it would all show up on Twitter. To me, that's preferable over a 50 page message board thread.

I like the anonymity of a message board as well. I could create a novelty account for Twitter but it wouldn't be the same.

I also follow 750 some accounts on Twitter somehow, so I hardly ever catch anyone's tweets.

I say a lot of ****ed up shit on twitter under my real name. That being said I don't want my twitter to be full of quick, meaningless basketball board posts where real life friends are like "What's wrong with this guy?"

Plus if you are calling out Adam, Ron, John or Cris it might get confusing if you have a friend in real life with those names. Like your plumbers name is Adam and you say "get the **** out of my twitter Adam" (or tweet or whatever) it might get awkward next time you have a clogged pipe.
