Less nonsensical banter between R-Star and E.H. Munro.

Maybe try having a home page with links to updated stories, maybe poll questions that are linked up on other sites that will lead them here? I'm not to savy when it comes to the internets so I'm probably not going to have the best ideas...

I came for the SIM leagues, but lately I have strayed and ventured into the actuall basketball forms. There are some very smart basketball people around these boards. But then EH and R-Star start to bicker and I have to read through pages of BS to actually find some info regarding what the original post was about. Not saying either of you aren't basketball smart (you both are) but on the same token you guys kill more threads than you help. A couple posts going at eachother can be funny, but when it turns into to pages of saying the same thing over and over it gets annoying. That's just what I have noticed in my short time here.

Whoever's idea to do the best player to wear #.... threads in the NBA forum was smart. Might have been even better of an idea in the offseason.

That would be me. Indeed it would've been a better idea for the offseason but we'll just have to come up with another idea for that.

It would be great if a universal "no insult" policy was instituted. But it means nothing if people aren't held accountable.

Perhaps not, but its going to be a good start.

Respect in regard to posters is one of the biggest problems here. I don't have any issues with good-natured kidding around with others, but it has crossed the line way too many times and gotten abusive.

It's time we ALL realized how important it is to respect others.

I don't disagree. Its part of the reason the thread was made. As another said though, it will only be effective if everyone is held to the same regards, which it seems you agree upon as well.

I think another thing we can do is actively respond to new posters.

If a guy comes and posts something on the forum and no one responds to his thread or post, he probably won't see a reason to post again.

Just an idea, and probably an obvious one that most mods/admins already do. Just thought it was worth saying.
