Re: NCAA March Madness Tournament mock draft
sorry, but the whole only counting points thing ruined it for me. there's more to basketball than scoring. hope you have more luck than i'm having convincing this current generation of that.

Re: NCAA March Madness Tournament mock draft
I'll have to agree with TM on this. WKU will get in, btw.

Sorry, but when dozens of high-scoring players from teams expected to go deep in the tournament (UNC, Memphis, Tennessee, Texas, UCLA, etc.) are still available, I don't understand this pick AT ALL.

Another thing... winning 2 games is going pretty deep in the tourney...

I agree wholeheartedly!
Again, last year at this time I tried to get them to think about incorporating assists, steals, rebounds, blocked shots, etc. for next year but they wouldn't even entertain the idea.

I won't argue with that, but surely you realize that the chance you take drafting a guy like Courtney Lee or Stephen Curry on a team who may be lucky to win even one game over someone such as Chris-Douglas Roberts whose Memphis team is almost guaranteed to play at least four games.
I'm actually incredulous right now that a player like Chris Douglas-Roberts who scores 17.8 ppg hasn't been drafted yet.

Re: NCAA March Madness Tournament mock draft
Are any of you guys into the NBA and fantasy basketball?
A think a good analogy of what's happened here is that let's say I'm doing a fantasy basketball draft and the first five picks off the board are:
1.01 Kevin Garnett
1.02 Shawn Marion
1.03 Lebron James
1.04 Kobe Bryant
1.05 Dirk Nowitzki
And then two managers come along and draft Al Harrington and Mike Dunleavy.
Now those two aren't bad players, but with elite guys like Chris Paul, Amare Stoudemire, Steve Nash, Yao Ming, and Chris Bosh still available, how could anyone think of drafting Harrington and Dunleavy in the first round?!?

Re: NCAA March Madness Tournament mock draft
Brandon Rush, Kansas. yes he is inconsistent, but last two seasons in post season tourneys (big 12 & NCAA) he seems to turn it on

I actually think that's a great pick! Dude scores almost 20 points a game, and I predict Vandy reaches the Elite 8.
