Re: sleepers?

EAST
Butler: not much of a sleeper, but I don't see anyone else in that region who has a legit shot

MIDWEST
Villanova: if they somehow get past Clemson, I can see them beating Vanderbilt too.
Davidson: not really a sleep again, I guess.

SOUTH
Oregon: will beat Miss State, Memphis, Pitt... ok, maybe not.

WEST
Baylor or Purdue: I think the winner has a legit shot at the Sweet 16
Western Kentcuky: what if San Diego somehow pulls the upset then has to play the Hilltoppers in the 2nd round? course, aside from UConn, whoever wins is going to get crushed by UCLA.

Re: sleepers?

UConn over San Diego is my lead pipe lock of the 1st round...more of a lock than all the 1's vs. 16's and etc. San Diego is a joke.

Mortgage your house on UConn winning. (not covering the spread, but winning)

Re: sleepers?

I'm picking Siena to take out Vandy. It's a long shot, but you never know.

Also have Temple taking out Mich. St.

Re: sleepers?

Siena did beat Stanford already this year. Therefore Siena > Stanford.

Re: sleepers?

I agree with the Siena pick. They're my sleeper of the 1st round.

As for other upsets in the first round not including 8-9 are:

St. Joe's over Oklahoma
St. Mary's over Miami
Davidson over Gonzaga

I really want to take Oral Roberts over Pitt, but I don't have the grapefruits.

2nd round (not including 4-5):

Butler over Tennessee
Marquette over Stanford

Sweet 16 upsets:

Clemson over Kansas
Marquette over Texas
Wisconsin over G'town
Xavier over Duke

San Diego has one really damn good player (that Johnson kid who plays PG). If he plays well they can play with UCONN. He was the best player on the floor earlier this year in Rupp Arena against UK.

I'll be #3 to say your nuts.

Also a 7 seed isn't exactly a sleeper but I think WVU is going to the sweet 16.
