Re: The '08 National Champion is...
UNC is going to win it. Roy Williams will win his second championship this decade and then I am going to rub it in and make sure I drive the point home that some on here are not qualified to discuss basketball (Bwahahaha).
But seriously if you havent been paying attention to the Heels, everything they said they can't do, they have proved otherwise. They cant play defense, see games against WSU and Louisville. They can only play uptempop ball, see games against WSU and Louisville. Unless Hansbrough is in foul trouble, its hard for me to see why they won't win it all. They are just a more disciplined team than any of the other teams right now. Memphis has the most talent, but their perimeter and free throw shooting worries me. Kansas proved very vulnerable last game, unlike Davidson, UNC actually has superior defenders that can match up well with their quick guards. In a nutshell, this championship is coming home to Chapel Hill.

Re: The '08 National Champion is...
I expect all three games to be decided by two or three points which makes it hard to make predicitons. I could make a case for every team, but ultimately I think that Kansas is going to beat Memphis in the Championship game.

So the flip side of that is when they lose, we can rub it in and drive the point home that YOU aren't qualified to discuss basketball, right?
Here's the problem with Kansas - they're playing a bit uptight. It's like they're playing like their coach = scared to lose. That's not intended to be a knock on Self or KU, but wouldn't you agree that he was scared to lose again, hence missing out on another Final Four? Personally, I hope they win, and hopefully they play even better now that the monkey's off their back (his - Self's - back).

Re: The '08 National Champion is...
My bracket at the beginning of the tournament had UNC meeting Memphis in the final with the Tigers winning it. I haven't seen anything so far to make me change that pick.

Re: The '08 National Champion is...
You know, UNC played in Raleigh and Charlotte in the first 4 rounds. I wonder how different it will be now that they are actually on a "NEUTRAL" court against a team of the same caliber.

Re: The '08 National Champion is...
I originally picked Kansas and I'm going to stick with them. I'm not sure if UNC's defense is good enough to win two tough games.

Flip coins...
I honestly think that if you played this Final Four quatro different times, you'd get a different winner every time.
An educated guess: North Carolina

Great point. All 4 teams do have enough talent, great coaching and stars that if this final four was playing 4 times, we may have 4 different winners.
That said I believe KU will be the NCAA champions this one time they do play.

Re: The '08 National Champion is...
I'm gonna have to stick to my original pick as well. UCLA over UNC. I wouldn't be surprised with any result though. I'm just hoping for good games.

Re: The '08 National Champion is...
Remember how last year's FF was all 1's and 2's and they were still boring. Gosh, I hope that doesn't happen again.
