How much different would there numbers be if pace of play was taken into the equation>
Rick Majerus, during the Canadian NCAA broadcasts (which BTW, blow away CBS coverage because of less commercials), said that Rose was the best prospect, and that Love (not Beasley or Hansbrough) is the best player in college basketball.
I agree with him. I beleive Kevin Love is the best NCAA player this year.

Re: Love vs Hansbrough.
Care to explain why you think that? I might have my UNC bias going, but when it comes to skill, I wouldnt take Love over Beasley, and I know that Beasley on a UNC team would be scary

Not that huge, when you consider pace of play. It's still an advantage that can't be discounted, but its like any other strength that Love has over T... you have to take it all as a whole.

Beasley has freakish athletic ability, Kevin Love does not. Love has more basketball skill than Beasley though. Beasley is more dominant because he has a great skill-set with freakish athletic ability. Love is dominant because he has a freakish skill level.

First off they are all very close, IMO.
Beasley is a scorer and he can score in any system... but he would not score that much more then Love in UCLA's slower pace, more balance offence, and I think that Love is better making others around him better on offence, and is a better overall defender.
I think Love has as much, if not more skill then Beasley.... Beasley has alot of skill and athleticism.

Re: Love vs Hansbrough.
And when you guys say more skill, you are going to mention the passing which drum rolls = gasp* Love only averaged 1.9 assists.
Beasley is like the ultimate college scoring weapon. He can score from any and everywhere on the floor. Because of that ability, I have no doubt that he would open up the floor for UCLA's slashers. I think his passing ability is an underrated aspect of his game.
BTW bball, Beasley's jumper is a result of skill and hardwork not athleticism

Where did I mention his jumper? Beasley has a nice jumpshot which is a skill. Love also has a decent jumpshot for a big man which is also a skill. The only noticeable skill area where Beasley is better is handling the ball (dribbling), while Love is the better passer. Love's passing ability shouldn't be meausred in just assists but his ability to make others around him better. He would get Collison out on a 2 on 1 break with Westbrook and Collison would get the assist. Love creates that opportunity with his passing, if he doesn't make the outlet to Collison the basket probably never occurs. He helps make others jobs easier, as does Beasley but not to the extent that Love does. I think Beasley is the best player in the country because as you mentioned he is the most diverse scorer we have seen in a while on the college level, and he is the type of player you can build around. You can build around Love but not as easily as you could Beasley.

Thats why I mentioned the jumper as a skill. He is not just using his athleticism to score, more times than not, its just his really refined offensive moves that he uses out on the court.
But regarding your post, I really dont see why it would be hard to build around Beasley because he doesn't look like a chucker. He shot a lot at K-state because of his teammates, no true point guard and only one other very good player to compliment him. I think on that UCLA team with the talent they have and Beasley's insane offensive skills, they would be a night mare for teams. Whilst Love might trump him with his passing (which I really do think is overrated), I think Beasley's ability to hit shots from anywhere on the floor would open up things for the other four guys playing with him. Its almost impossible to defend the guy one on one. Think about how many open looks Collison, Westbrook and Shipp would get. You mentioned Love helping the break, I thought UCLA was more of a halfcourt oriented team. Beasley would excel in such a system.
