Re: Well this is the worst tourney I can remember..
Did Memphis execute well in those games? Yes. Were they good games? No. I watch for good games, and want to be entertained. And anyway that was part of your dialogue with HKF.
I asked if you would argue whether or not this hasn't been one of the weaker tournaments of this decade? And you said you wouldn't argue with someone who thinks their right. That's dodging a question.
I mean you're making a lot of judgments in here and striking out.

Re: Well this is the worst tourney I can remember..
i guesss its in the eye of the beholder again
if you want close games and buzzer beaters and overtimes this has been a pretty dull tournament
if you want good basketball with great players playing at their best at the right time than this has been a great tournament
Kevin Love was the MOP of the west
Hansbrough the MOP of the east
Rose the mop of the south
we saw what stephen curry did in the midwest and the whole kansas team has been great
plus for once we have the 4 clearly best teams IMO in the final 4
so ya I have enjoyed this tournament a lot but if you are looking for a BUNCH of upsets(there were some)
and A LOT of close finishes than it wouldn't that be interesting ... i guess

They were good games for people whol like quality, well executed basketball. What you're really asking is - Were close games? Well, then the answer is no.

I think for the most part, the better teams have shown their dominance. I also think you're forgetting some of what happened the first 2 weekends of the tournament.

Re: Well this is the worst tourney I can remember..
The point is, it would be nice if two teams played up to their capabilities in the same game. Is that asking too much?

Exactly!
Let's stop confusing "good basketball" with "close games." That's my beef with what's been said in this thread. That's all.

East:
Oklahoma-St. Joes
Butler-Tenn
Aside from that, I guess the rest of them weren't "good," as defined by this thread
Midwest:
Clemson-Nova
Davidson-Gonzaga
Gtown-Davidson
Wisconsin-Davidson
KU-Davidson
South:
Oregon-Miss St (final minutes)
Marquette-UK (final minutes)
Texas-Miami (final minutes)
Stanford-Marquette
Memphis-Miss St
West:
BYU-Texas A&M
Drake-WKU
UConn-SD
Duke-Belmont
Duke-WVU
X-Purdue
UCLA-Texas A&M
WVU-X
Was this tournament really that bad?

I'm asking for good games. Not all close games are good games. I'd take a well executed blow out over a close game played sloppily, but it's not like I'm checking for either. I want to see good basketball played by both teams. Is that too much to ask for when watching?

Not really. There were some good games the first weekend especially on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. It wasn't as much the second weekend.

You're striking out with all the assumptions you've made. You came in this thread up in arms from the very beginning.
Where would you rank this tournament out of tournaments in this decade?

Weren't some of these well executed blowouts (take any of Memphis's last 3 games)?

So really this should be titled "Well this is one of the weakest tournaments in the past decade"
Past 10 years - one of the weaker ones.

"Up in arms"?
Don't make blanket statements and people won't have to assume things. That's your fault, not mine.
