STAMPEDE AND MICRON MATH: The Idaho Stampede and the Micron Foundation have teamed up to help teach Treasure Valley students that learning mathematics can be fun and exciting. About 1,300 students are taking part in the Micron Math Program which uses basketball related themes and worksheets, incorporating box scores and statistics, to help teach computation skills. One student is also invited to sit courtside at every Stampede home game and keep score as the "Micron Honorary Scorekeeper".

GATORADE CALL-UP: The Golden State Warriors signed Fort Worth guard Kelenna Azubuike on Tuesday, making him the first GATORDAE Call-Up of the 2006-07 season and the 69th since the league began play in 2001-02. Azubuike played 17 minutes in the Warriors win over the Hornets on Tuesday and had four points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals.

THEY SAID IT: "I thought he did a very good job for us being around just one day. He has a very nice presence on the court and he rebounded for me." ... Golden State coach Don Nelson on Kelenna Azubuike's Warriors debut on Tuesday.

THE FANS KNEW: It seems D-League fans know their stuff. In a recent GATORADE Call-Up Poll in which more than 11,000 fans voted, Kelenna Azubuike was the leading vote getter (26%) on who would be the first call-up this season.

HODGE RECALLED: The Denver Nuggets recalled G Julius Hodge from Colorado on Tuesday. In nine games with the 14ers he averaged 23.0 minutes, 12.1 points, 6.6 assists and 4.2 rebounds.

POWER RANKINGS: Tied with Fort Worth for the lead in the Eastern Division, the Dakota Wizards have taken over the top spot in this week's D-LEAGUE.com power rankings after winning seven of nine and their last three games. Fort Worth, Los Angeles, Sioux Falls and Colorado round out the top five.
