Mavericks sign F Henderson

DALLAS (Ticker) - Less than a week after trading forward Alan Henderson, the Dallas Mavericks have re-acquired him.
The Mavericks on Tuesday signed Henderson, whom they had traded to the Milwaukee Bucks just before the trading deadline last Thursday.
On Friday, the Bucks waived the 32-year-old Henderson, who averaged a career-low 3.5 points and 4.5 rebounds in 52 games with the Mavericks this season, his 10th in the NBA.

The previous day, the Bucks sent forward Keith Van Horn to the Mavericks for Henderson and forward Calvin Booth in a salary-cutting deal.
Seeking to shed Van Horn, who has a $15.7 million option for next season, the Bucks took back Henderson because he was in the final year of his contract, along with Booth, who has two years and $13.1 million left on his contract after this season.
The winner of the 1998 Most Improved Player Award, Henderson has career averages of 8.9 points and 5.4 rebounds in 537 games with Atlanta and Dallas.
