Actually no grades tonight since I was coaching the last set of games for my youngest’ Spring League. I at least got regular scoring updates from the parents in the stands who were half watching their kids and half watching a little 3 inch television.
Avery: Avery had his guys ready to play as evidenced by the Mavs winning the first period of each half. Unfortunately the Rockets owned the second and especially the fourth. The Mavs went nearly 8 minutes without scoring in the fourth.
Howard: Josh had 8 points on 3-8 from the field to go with 3 rebounds. Along with Erick, Josh fouled out in the fourth period. +4
Nowitzki: Dirk is still looking for his shot, going 5-22 from the field for 19 points. Did get the double double with 13 rebounds and notably had 5 blocked shots. +21
Dampier: Erick at least got up to 28 minutes before fouling out in the fourth. Scored 8 points (4-4 FG) and grabbed 9 rebounds.
Finley: Michael scored 14 points (6-16 FG, 2-9 treys), ten in the third period. Finley added 3 rebounds, 3 steals and 3 assists against Zero turnovers. +13
Terry: Jason got to 7 points (3-12 FG, 1-5 treys) to go with 2 assists against 3 turnovers. +6
Stackhouse: Jerry led the Mavs with 21 points (9-16 FG, 2-3 treys, 1-1 FT) to got with 4 rebounds. Led the team with 3 turnovers. +16
Henderson: Alan got only 5 minutes on his way to one rebound. Zero turnovers. +1
Harris: Devin scored 3 points on 3-3 from the stripe after getting fouled shooting a trey. Zero assists against 2 turnovers. +2
Daniels: Marquis got to 3 points on 1-6 from the field to got with 5 rebounds. Zero turnovers. +3
Armstrong: Darrell picked up 9 minutes but did not score (0-2 FG, 0-1 trey). Zero turnovers. +0
Bradley: Shawn picked up 2 minutes at the end of the game but did not box. +0
Van Horn: DNP-CD, Left ankle sprain.
