Portland 100, Dallas 93
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=230126006
Dirk had a slightly off night, and no one hit from 3, overall they were 8-22, but Raef accounted for 3-3 of those. This was a game they should have won. How is it acceptable for them to score only 13 in a quarter (3rd)? The Blazers do put out a weird looking squad with Pippen at point, it makes for a big team, hence Reja starting...
Thoughts?

Didn't know that, thanks for sharing stevenash! Now looking at the box score, they were outscored that quarter.

Give credit where credit is due. They were down big at the half. But came back in the 2nd and took over the game. Pip at the point was the smartest thing Mo Cheeks has done as a Blazer coach. Zach Randolph, man..how this guy has stepped up in place of the suspended Wallace, 0 pts in 1st half...16 in the 2nd...he was a beast out there.

The Blazers deserve credit for beating the Mavs, but won't you say that the Mavs are a better team, should have won? So in part it's ok in looking for what went wrong?

i'm not a mavs fan but if the refs allow the blazers to push guys under the basket on rebounds and put their hands all over them the mavs arent going to beat them.nor will anyone else for that matter.

I thought the Mavs looked confused when they left their zone defense at times during the game. Like any other team, when the shots aren't falling - you either lose or you collectively decide to take it to the bucket. The mavs did not choose to take it to the bucket as much as they should have.
BTW, Pippen plays so good, considering he is 37. What is with these old guys (Malone, Stockton, Jordan, etc.) still playing so tough?

I agree, Portland was better. Remember a month ago you guys were down 13 points in Portland and won. The Mavs out worked the Blazers on the board in PDX.It was a great game ,andDallas had no idea what to run in the 3rd. Nowitzki was lost. With Damon on him 6 feet from the hoop he passed out?????
You guys are better than last year but now we'll see, you have to play some teams with winning record.
