I think Dallas does it and so does Minny. Dirk showed he wasn't a leader in the playoffs with his subpar performance, and KG is #1/2 in the league. Around the right players, KG can go far in the playoffs (as shown the year before last) and is the type of player we need. With Nellie and his mancrush gone, this trade can work well. They also got a premier PG in the league who was an all-star not too recently

The two players Dallas recieve better their positions (KG>Dirk, ET>JT) and Devin Harris showed hes not really worth much after this rookie season. Dallas wants to win now and this trade would put them over the top. Fact is, Josh isn't anything special. Maybe Minny throws in a second round pick for Alan Anderson? Maybe.

What made you think the Mavs would do this? KG is not that much better than Dirk.

KG had basically the same team this year that he had around him last year. Last yer was simply a fluke. And Cassel is OLD and injury-prone, and is only going downhill. Wouldnt trade Terry or Harris straight up for him. Lets remember this was Harris' first year in the league. Give him a little time. And then we just throw in our best defender as well. Come on now. Minnesota would laugh all the way to the bank with this one.

I'd rather see Josh Howard develop into our very own Shawn Marion than trade him for KG and a has been like Sam-I-Still-think-I-am. Dirk and a filler for KG straight up wouldn't be bad.

Ha, this trade is a terrible idea, the Mavs giving up that much for KG (who would equate to Dirk) and an old injury prone PG in Cassel. I am not trading anyone but Jet in that group and no way in hell for Cassel. I don't see anyone on that Wolves roster who I would want to trade for that would work under the CBA.

What a terrible trade. Dirk for KG straight up I'd consider, Dirk plus Devin for KG is pushing it, but Terry and Howard as well. LMFAO, never going to happen. Dirk showed he isn't a leader in teh playoffs? and KG has shown he was? The same player who hadnt even won a playoff series until a season ago? I'm sorry, I don't see where you get that from.

What a terrible trade. Dirk is going to be better than KG. Cassell is washed up too. Josh howard is going to be a stud, and giving away your starting PG JET too? And your future PG Devin Harris!!??? How stupid. If i were a hardcore mavs fan I would be pissed if that ever happened

This is one of the dumbest trade ideas I have ever heard. And the part about how Dirk never comes through in the playoffs is just as dumb. Despite a poor performance for Dirk this year his playoffs stats are better than his regular season stats.

Another bad thing about this trade is that the Mavs would not get better and they would lose depth. Howard, Harris and Terry are all younger than Cassell.
