a change in offense
we'll defenitly have a better defense but our offense is still unproven. We're trading an outside shooter in finley for a passer in christie. While Christie is still a high perecentage shooter his ability to a create shots is questened, especialy at his current age. I like the fact that he keeps the ball moving on offense, I think that has been one of our weakest points. It's something that the pistons and spurs do so well, that extra pass. I also like that what he did with bibby can be amulated with JET. Bibby used to roll of picks and christie would pass him the ball to shoot the three. Jet and christie will work well, letting JET take adavantage of his shooting and together distributing the ball. Marquis is a pretty good passer also. Stackhouse has become our go to shooter at the 2-3 position, so lets hope he stays consistant at the three. So in short we definetly dont have same offense as last year but I am really liking the defense.

Re: a change in offense
Christie isn't going to be asked of much though. Daniels, and Stackhouse are going to be responsible for making up Finley's touches, and those two should do just fine. Neither are the shooters that Finley is, but both guys are more versatile offensively, so that will help out. Maybe Christie will help out Jason Terry by taking him off the ball, but I wouldn't expect Chrisitie to play big enough minutes for that to be a huge deal.

Re: a change in offense
Our offense will be just fine. With Finley gone it means more shots for Terry, Daniels, and Stack. I like that Terry will get to shoot more because he is a great shooter and he can create.

Re: a change in offense
Josh doesn't really need that many shots. He gets his in the flow of the game off rebounds, fast breaks, steals, wide open i forgot he was on the floor threes, ect.

Re: a change in offense
Run the ball thru Pavel and Diop- their inside-outside game would kill every other team.

Re: a change in offense
neither marquis nor howard has proven themselves as shooters. In fact I hear they are trying to change marquises form on his shot. While both howard and daniels can easily shoot the 10-15 footers, any thing out of that is questionable. We need to hope that they both worked on there peremiter shooting or else Terry and stackhouse will be our only outside options(outside of Dirk)

Re: a change in offense
Van Horn is a shooter. That's probably why the Mavs wanted to keep him, because KVH can knock down the three.

Re: a change in offense
Yea we kept KVH because he is a shooter and for what he can do off the bench. I hope they really are trying to change Marquis' form. He really needs to improve on his jumpshot and decision making. I know Howard is gonna comeback next season with improved perimeter shooting.
