Re: Finley to the Spurs
You know, I first heard about this last night, and people were going on and on about how pissed off the Mavericks must be and blah blah blah. I'm not mad or upset at all and I have no idea why anyone would think we would be upset by this.
It's not like Finley left on bad terms or anything. He would've happily stayed and we would've happily kept him. It was all just a financial thing. Since he was set free and still has game left he wanted to play somewhere, so why not play for the Spurs?
I seriously doubt that Finley was trying to "stick it to us" or Mark Cuban, and it kind of annoys me that some people are trying to create Maverick drama out of this. Oh well.
Sure, this makes it even harder for us to get into the Finals since the Spurs now have probably the best bench in the league. At the same time, this makes it even harder for Phoenix as you know they were praying and hoping with all their might for him to go there. They're now a team with no defense, a coach who has shown no ability to coach defense, and a partially castrated offense. I can guarantee that team is a lot more worried than we are.
