There isn't going to be such a huge difference in production to make up for the difference in money between the two. That's what I was saying back when the Mavs were rumored to go after Hunter, that you could get a player who will do the same things for cheaper.

You are correct, I was in favor of signing Hunter for up to 4 mil. Had we done that we would not have had money to sign Christie so I guess I was wrong. Of course I did not think there was anyone else available at that time that would be able to fill in our backup Center postion.
Did you have any idea that Diop would lose all that weight and that it would turn him into a completely different player? What were the players you were suggesting back when we were trying to get Hunter? I can't remember the list of available Centers but I don't think I liked anyone on the list.
If you listen to Cavs fans, Diop is the worst basketball player to ever step onto a basketball. However, fortunately the Mavs do not have the same Diop that the Cavs had.
Anyway, I am really happy with the team as it is.
