Tonights game

Damn I love the Mavs! Even though they frustrate me to all hell. Anyways, people were questioning Sterns reason for putting this game on the opening night? I think we all know why now. lol GO MAVS!

Re: Tonights game

I was frustrated, joyed, mad, jumping, throwing things, pointing at the tv yelling "that's the old Dirk I know" all of that in this one game.

Ugh, you can say that again. The entire game there was just no energy to the team at all. And for the life of me I couldn't figure out why Diop wasn't getting any play time. This is what we signed him for, right? When our interior defense needs anchored and Damp is out. I know Avery wanted to play small ball because Phoenix was putting a small, quick team on the court, but Diop can easily keep up with any of the big men the Suns have and he's an excellent shot blocker. I just didn't get using KVH at center so much with Diop rotting on the bench.

Anyway, at about the 8:00 mark in the fourth quarter I was so disgusted at the lack of effort that I turned the TV off and went to bed sure that we'd started the year out with a loss. How surprised was I to wake up and look at the box score this morning. Shame on me for giving up on my team I guess, eh. But man I hope they show more energy against Utah tonight.

Re: Tonights game

i also thought about going to sleep at around 12:30... with dallas down before OT, glad i didn't. I hope Josh Howard gets more touches tonight vs. Utah. He played great last night, but seemed invisible.
