Mavericks Forum GM Draft: Midway report cards
With the draft almost being half-finished, I thought we should take this chance to grade each others rosters.
Here is a link to updated rosters for you to see
You don't have to grade all of them, maybe just your favourite/least favourite etc

Re: Mavericks Forum GM Draft: Midway report cards
I like the Pistons. A lot. All-Star Point Guard, tough defender and good shooter at SG, potential-filled (though that's all he may ever be) SF, proven scorer/rebounder PF, and the league's leading shot blocker at C. Not to mention one of thet leading 3 point shooters in the league at backup SG. Playoff squad right there.
My squad's pretty sorry and I don't pick again till the 9th round...

Re: Mavericks Forum GM Draft: Midway report cards
I dont think we have too many teams that just stand out out of everyone yknow...
the 2 teams that did catch my eye though are the Memphis and the Rockets...
Rockets have a young frontcourt thats very solid in Amare and Curry... plus with Marbury running the point... they also have a 6th man thats very underated in McDyess... as for Memphis, they have a very good backcourt in Jason Terry and Steve Francis, a front court of Randolph and Dampier which is very solid and to add to that, they got talent and youth in Andre Iguodala... their back up is the blocking machine, Theo Ratliff.... good job guys!
PS. Thanks Tersk, that musta took forever... great job.

Re: Mavericks Forum GM Draft: Midway report cards
I like your mavericks Tersk. Other then that I didn't have
any teams jump out at me. some of them just didn't look like they
would make a good combination.

Re: Mavericks Forum GM Draft: Midway report cards
Atlanta Hawks: B
very solid team; center is huge unknown...what is known about him aint good; Pau will have a hard time overcoming Darco unproductiveness;
Boston Celtics: B
very solid team; not much bad to say about it...on the flip side, nothing special to say about it;
Charlotte Bobcats: C+
this team is bad; is one KG twisted ankle from total suckness; Dunleavy shouldnt be starting cars, much less on an NBA team;
Chicago Bulls: B+
good team; very scary backcourt; missing that something extra in the frontcourt to be totally dominate;
Cleveland Cavaliers: B+
lot of potential; the pointguard is not the right one for this team to fully suceed;
Dallas Mavericks: B
automatic playoff team; a team with TD and Ray Allen deserve a more mature PG to get them the ball where they need it;
Denver Nuggets: C+
there are no psitives for this team; I expect they would lose most games by 15 or more points;
Detroit Pistons: C-
Poor AI, stuck on a team that blows this hard; does this team even have 50 points of offense in it?
Golden State Warriors: B+
the only real weakness to this team is the front court combination, 2 decent role players as starters will hurt them some games; luckily most of the front courts in this league are horrible;
Houston Rockets : A
great squad; only weakness is that Eddy doesnt always produce, but on this team he doesnt hve to be a #1;
Indiana Pacers: C
nothing but a bunch of highlight reel players, but by the end of he 4rth quarter I would be suprised if they were within 30 points of thier opponents;
Los Angeles Clippers: C+
this team is built so wrong; no one compliments anyone;
Los Angeles Lakers: B+
very dangerous team; can score with anyone or lock them down;
Memphis Grizzlies: A
Miami Heat : B-
another solid team; real draw back is there is no center and barring a trade there wont be one;
Milwuakee Bucks: B+
very good team; just falls a little short of being elite;
Minnesota Timberwolves: A+
holy ****!; how did we let them draft a team this good; I believe this o be the best team in the draft so far;
New Jersey Nets: B+
another team thats very good; I just dont beleive in Adam Morrison;
New Orleans Hornets: C+
all that wheeling and dealing for nothing; this team is horrible;
New York Knickerbockers: B-
not that bad; not that good;
Orlando Magic: C
another horrible team; this is the kind of front court that allows opposing bigs to have career days;
Philadelphia 76ers: B
Phoenix Suns: B-
Portland Trailblazers: B
Sacremento Kings: A-
San Antonio Spurs: A
Seattle Supersonics: A-
Toronto Raptors: B+
Utah Jazz: A-
Washington Wizards: B+
(notes to be added later)
