I am just trying to figure out if they fool us in a positive or negative way. There are stretches when you think they have what it takes to win it all, but then the next five minutes are back to lackluster basketball. The entire season has been up and down so far and yet we are only one game behind the Suns and Spurs.

Now I could care less about the regular season record, but it just goes to show that there is something we should recognize, can they unleash their best when it matters ? Sometimes I really believe this is the year and then it is back to ... we've been there before.

What do you think ?

I think that this is the first time EVAR that we are using the regular season for what it is meant for. Too many times in the past we have focused on 15 game winning streaks or winning 67 games when we should have been working out kinks in the rotation and finding out our strength and weaknesses.

I would like to think that they are fooling us for the worse, meaning that they are tinkering a bit much but can still turn up the heat when needed, but then I think back to the games vs ATL and POR. The young guns still give us fits and that's something that needs to be worked out.

This is the first time I have not given 2 craps about the regular season, and I for one feel great. Much less stressful.

The regular season has turned into a preseason for these guys. I don't mind a bit, especially since it gives me more time to focus on football.

It's true that we'll say "The regular season doesn't matter", then when they lose a couple, we'll say "You suck!".

I've been looking at the last couple of (regular) seasons as tune-ups, but it's hard to see a consistant trend of improvements - last year peaked early, obviously. I'm just holding back judgement until the spring to see what they've become.
