Sounds like a typical press conference.

Re: Kidd trade from Nets to Mavericks now official
I love this trade for Dallas.
Kidd definitely won't be lighting it up from the field, but he adds a couple intriguing dimensions. Playing Terry at SG isn't really a small backcourt anymore, since Kidd is 6'4, 200+ pounds and is fully capable of guarding wings. He helps the rebounding a lot. Adding an 8 rebound per game player should never be overlooked. But most importantly, you guys get a superb playmaker. He'll make it easier on Howard, Dirk, Terry etc. Everyone will be getting easy buckets. The Mavs might even move away from all the isolation ball. And Dallas can run teams out of the gym now, now that they have the best fastbreak player in the league. And another thing that Kidd brings that shouldn't be overlooked is the savvy, experience and leadership that he brings.
But the one thing I think the Mavs are missing is a guy who'll get easy buckets in the paint. Dirk, Howard and Terry are all big jumpshooters. But when these guys are cold, who's gonna attack the rim? Who's gonna get buckets in the paint?

"Don't look for P.J. Brown to join the list of players making a brief comeback for an easy payday.
The 38-year-old power forward, who has not played since helping the Bulls reach the second round of last year's Eastern Conference playoffs, has no interest in returning to the NBA, according to his agent, Mark Bartelstein."

Re: Kidd trade from Nets to Mavericks now official
All this talk about Kidd's horrible FG% baffles me. Why is he going to have to shoot? His job is going to be managing the floor and creating open looks for our shooters, Dirk, JHo and JET. He should feel no pressure to put any points on the board.

I can see his FG% improve with the Mavericks.

Kidd will get his share of wide-open looks because the opposition might double Dirk/Howard off of Kidd's man. He's a streak shooter, he might go 2/12 one night and 8/12 next. He averaged around 11 shots per game for the Nets this season, and he might not even attempt 10 for Dallas.

Terry Stack Howard and Dirk all cold on the same night? when you have this many shooters you can take that gamble. I also see you dont quite know how Brandon Bass is when you refer to inside points or respect Damps abilities as a big man. not too mention you still have Juhow and eddie jones plus a devin george who better earn his keep some how on a potienta Championship team. This team is nothing but scorers...

Because in the playoffs, its more of a 5 on 5 game.
