Predicting Future Summer Moves
http://www.rockymountainnews.com/drm...105353,00.html
as this article states both Jon Barry and or Rodney White COULD be back. I welcome both as you know. Also Kiki hinted that getting a guard/swingman could happen in a trade.
I just wanted to post this article, and then brainstorm. When you answer please reply to the following....
1. Will or Should Rodney White and or Jon Barry be brought back
2. Is there a deal likely to go down? Do you have any ideas.
3. Any other cheap free agents you reccommend? Maybe an overseas guy? Someone nobody else is talking about?
I recommend going after Bonzi Wells or Mike Miller from Memphis.
Give me some other guards/swingmen we could land.

Skita will be traded for someone. I'm almost completely sure of it.

I think Barry will be back... I would love to bring White back but i don't think he want to...
Skita will not saty with the Nuggets... at least Kiki will try to move him... the thing is... we're talking about a guy that never played well(Or had the chance) in the NBA... his tranding value is really low!
Right now Free Agents are a lot more hard to find... Overseas there are a lot... but you gotta think if they fit right... We need a steel-hard atletic SG with a nice shoot... I don't see many choices there...

ok since nobody else will do it i will. give feedback. im going to post trades. Not advocating them...just posting workable deals... for BRAINSTORMING. My goal is to basically put together a good young backcourt. I'll try several things
Trade One
Denver trades: PG Andre Miller (14.8 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 6.1 apg in 34.6 minutes)
SF Nikoloz Tskitishvili (2.7 ppg, 1.6 rpg, 0.3 apg in 7.9 minutes)
Denver receives: SF Jonathan Bender (7.0 ppg, 1.9 rpg, 0.4 apg in 12.9 minutes)
PG Fred Jones (4.9 ppg, 1.6 rpg, 2.1 apg in 18.6 minutes)
PG Jamaal Tinsley (8.3 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 5.8 apg in 26.5 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +2.7 ppg, 0.0 rpg, and +1.9 apg.
Indiana trades: SF Jonathan Bender (7.0 ppg, 1.9 rpg, 0.4 apg in 12.9 minutes)
PG Fred Jones (4.9 ppg, 1.6 rpg, 2.1 apg in 18.6 minutes)
PG Jamaal Tinsley (8.3 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 5.8 apg in 26.5 minutes)
Indiana receives: PG Andre Miller (14.8 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 6.1 apg in 82 games)
SF Nikoloz Tskitishvili (2.7 ppg, 1.6 rpg, 0.3 apg in 39 games)
Change in team outlook: -2.7 ppg, 0.0 rpg, and -1.9 apg.
TRADE ACCEPTED
Indiana Includes one first round draft pick
Denver's backcourt rotation would include
Tinsley Boykins PG
Fred Jones Combo Guard
Lenard and hopefully Barry SG
Plus Bender can give good depth at both forward slots. Elson would be the backup center. Maybe add Fizer and your done?
I know this trade doesnt include a really hot shooting 3 point guy.
I'll add some other ideas. Most of you have already read my Memphis idea.
Tinsley is not really much of a 3 point shooter although I like his court vision and passing. He is working on it. He can knock down the open shot out there. Jones is another young athletic combo. Can extend his shot to the 3 point line. I think Jones will have a better year than last year. Tinsley can have the high assist numbers Id expect on this team. Run and gun would suit him.

youll find that in order to obtain players that get paid any kind of salary Dre is the guy that likely has to go. The only other guys with serious $$$ are kmart and camby. I advocate trading Dre in the right deal. In Sporting News as well as other sources its been hinted before. And Kiki in that article hinted a trade is possible.

I would like some sources for these claims. Also I've always heard from you and others that Melo and Dre don't get along. I have never read anything to that effect and was wondering if you can give me a source for that too.
I agree with Nugzfan, you honestly can't trade away your most consistent player. Especially considering how much money we invested in him early on.

Publications of the rift arent that hard to find. Shoot he sat out the end of a game once. As far as trade talk. Sporting News Mag. The Okafor Uconn conver one. Has direct trade talk.
As far as this thread is concerned. As the possibility of a trade to upgrade the backcourt is concerned you have to send a player that makes money to get a player back that makes money. (duh) The only guy thats making $$ that works in my trades includes deals with Andre Miller. I'm not doing it because I dislike him...i'm including him basically because you have too in order to make any of these deals work. Who would you send to upgrade the backcourt?

I don't see how sending our best guard is going to upgrade the backcourt. Sure we are better at the 2, but in your trades we're signifantly worse at the point. Especially the Vince trade where we are starting Boykins.
The source for trading Miller is garbage. How old is that issue????

Andre Miller is a fine guard. Voshon Lenard is streaky...but a good guy. Skita...well lets just say NJ wouldnt take him off our hands. Memphis is interested in him. So thats why you got the Memphis trade proposal. Because its something I think they would accept. You got the Vince one because he wants traded...And you go the Indiana one just because I was playing around and it worked.
Bottom line. In order to get anything significant your likely going to have to send salaries. Ive looking for ways to avoid it. I'm not sending Nene. So the only other option is Andre Miller. If you want to make a signifcant trade youll likely have to send him. And thats not because of anything I think about him...its just our payroll... go to real GM and check it out yourself.
Mike Miller's shooting and Williams passing skills would improve the team IMO. Vince Carter would improve the team IMO. And with the defensively strong lineup we'd have.... Id have no problems making another trade or starting Boykins the 350lbs bench pressing machine.

TRADE ACCEPTED Denver would need to send Sac a 1st rounder
Not likely i know. The only deal I heard for Peja was artest for peja. This trade suggests giving a combo to Sacramento instead of one "tempermental" player. I wouldnt trade Peja. I dont advocate it. But if Petrie shops him I think he might rather have a good combo trade that brings him in say 5 players to fill roles. And if he trades Peja why not make another team take Christie's salary?
Why does Indiana do this. I thought to myself who would Golden State be interested in. Ron Artest. Indiana could finalize a Deal with Dampier by doing a sign and trade. They could send Dampier and Richardson or Dunleavy for Artest. They can do that because they have Christie as their defensive guard. Plus then they could use their mid level on a guy like Keon Clark. Not to mention they get Andre Miller to be their floor general. Plus they unload Scot Pollard's salary.
Denver does well. They just have to eat Pollard's contract.
Not likely but according to CBA rules it works.
