Draft Day Senerios

Option one Kiki will consider. Moving both first round draft picks for the Bobcats (from cleveland) 13th pick, and selecting Danny Granger.

Two, just hope Granger falls.

Three, even if he knows Granger doesnt fall he uses his picks to select other players.

Most Importantly. This is the year to trade into the second round.

Gilchrist will fall into the 2nd round of this draft. He may be the steal of the draft.

Salim Stoudmire will be a 3 point shooting specialist that will be an asset to a teams bench.

Other 2nd rounders Denver may be interested in

Dijon Thompson
Julius Hodge
BJ Elder
Luther Head
Kelenna Azubuike
Nate Robinson
Eddie Basden
Daniel Ewing
Sean Banks

If Denver wants to add a big man to the depth charts it is best to wait until the 2nd round.

The New Orleans Hornets will likely draft Paul (if Portland takes Green) otherwise they will draft Green or Deron Williams with their first. Leaving a bigman for their pick early in the 2nd round. I likely see them taking Jared Homan to add to the roster because I expect them to move their valuable big men in trades.

Jared Homan is a cheap and talented big man to add to the roster. If you want a better (and much bigger) version of Najera with good touch in the post (and mid range jumper), then I would suggest Homan. Homan also is a great shot blocker. Is currently working out and attending camps. I think Denver would have to trade up in the 2nd to land him.

While he has great size he makes sense for Denver, because of his experience in a run and gun style game. He would be another big body (like Nene) that can run up and down the court. Unlike Nene Homan has a mean streak (just not the athlete Nene is). Add Homan and then next year bring in his teammate Stinson (Curtis Stinson is the future PG in Denver)

Re: Draft Day Senerios

Granger attractive to Denver if he slips in draft
By Chris Dempsey
Denver Post Staff Writer

Danny Granger has heard he might be taken in the NBA draft lottery, which includes 14 teams. However, that didn't stop the former New Mexico star from making the Nuggets, who own the 20th and 22nd overall picks in the June 28 draft, the first stop on his workout tour.

"With the way the draft is, you never know," Granger said Monday at the Pepsi Center. "You can't just say you're going to just work out for (the) teams that are in the lottery, because the way the draft is, people move up, people move down."

Granger's draft status is all over the board. ESPN.com has him ranked among its top 10 prospects. NBAdraft.net, meanwhile, projects Granger will go to Toronto at 16th overall.

If he slips to the Nuggets, the 6-foot-8, 225-pound Granger could be just the type of player that interests Denver. His versatility allows him to play point guard to small forward. At New Mexico, Granger was called upon to play power forward at times, but he projects himself as a small forward in the NBA.

"Eighty percent of my shots came from the wing," said Granger, who averaged 18.8 points for the Lobos last season. "But I'm honing my perimeter skills."

Granger, who also has workouts scheduled with the Lakers, Clippers, Warriors, Grizzlies and Magic, was one of seven players who worked out for the Nuggets on Monday. The others were Louisville's Francisco Garcia, Maryland's John Gilchrist, Oklahoma State's Joey Graham and Stephen Graham, Chattanooga's Mindaugas Katelynas and Washington's Nate Robinson.

This year's draft is being billed as one of the deepest in recent memory with 108 early entrants - including 12 from high school - among those competing for 60 draft spots. Of the seven players in Denver on Monday, three are early entrants: Garcia, Gilchrist and Robinson. Garcia said Louisville coach Rick Pitino urged

ALSO:

Julius Hodge has worked out in Denver according to Spears. He said he thinks he can fill the hole a the 2 guard.
