Re: Choose wisely
Honestly, it's going to be really hard to predict what happens with the shooting guard position, given the myriad of options and amount of flexibility Kiki has. I don't see the Bucks or the Clippers letting go of their respective free agents and I think Raja Bell would demand too much money. Mobley might end up being an option, as well as Jaric. But given the two first rounders, a little money under the cap, Vo's situation, decisions on DerMarr and Buckner, and trade bait like Nene, I think it's going to be hard to predict the outcome of this situation.

I wonder if Kiki is dangling him out there. He needs an extension and showed improvement on his jumper and left hand. He still has a long way to go and he's only 22?
I think trading Nene too early in his career could be a mistake.
He is our biggest trade asset though. If he's gone then we go Camby, Martin, Elson, and Najera. That is alright because I like Elson's game, but his potential to some is not as big as Nene's, but I think Elson has big upside still.
The Dutchman has a better jumper than Nene and a knack for the ball. Nene does have that Malone body.

I'm still convinced that Nene has the potential to be one of the better power forwards in the game. He's easily one of the most unique talents at his position. You won't see many power forwards with his combination of strength and athleticism (and he can run the hell outta the court). Besides that, he's really got exceptional court vision and sense for the game, extremely quick hands, and a solid base of skills. Honestly, I thought he'd be better than Amare. I was obviously wrong but he does have a chance to be a more versatile player than Amare. Unfortunately, Nene has settled for mediocrity and hasn't improved a whole lot. My biggest frustration with him is his lack of aggressiveness on the boards. He really should be pulling down ten a game but settles for six. He also needs to work on finishing. A guy of his size and athleticism should dunk EVERYTHING (this is one thing that separates Amare from Nene) instead of trying to lay the ball up.
All that said, has he been miscast? This kid came into the league at around 240. I remember the first time he touched the ball in the regular season, he was at the free throw line. He jab stepped some fool, exploded to his left, took a couple of steps, and exploded to the basket for a dunk. I was simply amazed. He really used to be incredibly explosive. Not on the level of Amare, but pretty damn close. That's something he just doesn't have at a hefty 260. The kid isn't a center and I'm disappointed in the Nuggets organization for casting him as such. His first year in the league, we had a desperate need for center, so he put on the weight and played center. His skill set is too deep to be stuck doing goon work. I'd like to see him back down around 245 to regain some of that explosiveness. I think that might help him a lot.
That said, Nene is probably too valuable a player for us to not consider trading. Even though he is underachieving, he could add a lot to any team out there (just imagine the difference he would make in Phoenix...incredible). Since we've added Kenyon, and in spite of Camby's injury problems, I just don't know if Nene can really grow the way he needs to on this roster. So maybe we should just ship him off to help address our shooting guard needs. I hate Elson, but he can fill in just nice backing up, along with Najera and a big man free agent or draftee. I can spare losing Nene if we can get something nice in return.

By far? Why what's your rational? Redd can't hold a candle to Mobley defensively (and Mobley is not a great defender, but a decent one).

Re: Choose wisely
Simmons has the versatility to guard the 2 and the 3, somethin Carmelo can't do, and unlike Bell, he actually has offense, so why not him?
