Not only do Melo's stats shine bright. Melo scored 42 points. Shooting 13-18 from the floor.

Melo needs to continue with the D. It's obvious he is more than just a scorer. He can just flat out play with anyone.

How was his D tonight and not just his man to man defense, but things like rotating ans switches?

His rotating was still a little late, but much better. His switches were decent. He caused many deflections, steals, and a few blocked shots. He was pretty good on defense. I would give him a C+ on Defense. What I like is just seeing Melo continue to get better.

That is great news. Melo may always be a little late on rotations and switches, but as long as he is giving full effort on defense it helps the team a ton.

I thought he was in a different gear all night. He actually made some plays on defense and brought some energy to that end.

Carmelo just doesn't seem to put out this kinda effort every night. If he did, that'd take a huge load off the team on the offensive end. I mean, he puts up points with ease - more so than most playerse in the league. If he can start taking defense seriously, he'll be a handful every night. We'll have to wait and see if he intends to play like this night in and night out.

I've been wondering when he would shift into high gear.

Don't get me wrong, this is his 3rd year in the L, and he's always scoring 20. However, it's tough to see Wade and LeBron pumping in 25-30 and Melo staying pat.

I think he matured a ton in last year's playoff series against SA, and the game is starting to come easier to him in the past few weeks. If he continues to work on his off ball movement, D, and rebounding, he'll be the complete package.

If he keeps hitting his shots and scoring, I foresee both he and Camby as all-stars this year.

True he was outstanding last night, but he also gave away 2 or 3 dribble drives for dunks by the guy he was guarding. Other then that the only thing I didn't really like was his rotation. He was late every time and gave away several and ones. However all that said I can up his grade to a B-
