Melo drops 45 on the Sixers
Great leadership signs by Melo tonight. What a great game by Carmelo. It was awe-inspiring seeing Melo offensively keep the Nuggets in the game during the 3rd quarter. And to top it off by giving the Nuggets a 3 point lead going in to the 4th quarter.
I'm sure everyone caught this special game by Melo tonight.
His jump shot was money from pretty much every where on the court. He was finishing around the basket better than he usually does. And even taking it up with some nice dunks.
What did everyone else see out there with Melo ? I can't stop thinking about Melos play he was just unconscious with his jump shot tonight.
I was really hoping Melo would get the last shot of the game. He didnt force it, and drew the double team, and kicked it out to Watson. I think he did the right thing, but as hot as he was he may have hit a forced jump shot.

Re: Melo drops 45 on the Sixers
major props to carmelo. shooting over web and andre is impossible. the problem is he didnt have a shooter to pass to. Watson is a mediocre shooter. Thats why this team needs to change obviously. Even with Camby on the bench we were still in the game.
the issue I brought up in 2004 is still the most prevalent issue facing this team. Its has never changed, posters are just now (meaning this year) starting to realize it

True A.I. had the answer tonight. However Melo was the real deal all night mixing it up. It was a special night for Carmelo.

I too always agreed with you regarding the Nuggets weakness. It's a glaring weakness when we get riddled with injuries like this season. We need a SG, or a player that can hit the jump shot.

Re: Melo drops 45 on the Sixers
A.I. Supports Melo being an All Star.
Quote:
RINGING ENDORSEMENT: After watching Carmelo Anthony score a career-most 45 points, 76ers guard Allen Iverson said the third-year forward deserves an invitation to the All-Star Game in Houston.
"Yeah, I definitely think he's deserving of it," said Iverson, a six-time All-Star. "He's been playing well all year. Any coach in the West should see that he deserves to be in that game."

Good point, but besides Melo Miller was the only one hitting any shots. Im sure Karl wanted other guys to step it up. However when Melo is feeling it you got to give it to him. Only if Melo had hit the three at the end of the 3rd quarter this game probably would of ended differently.
