I think patience is the key
I've been doing a lot of thinking lately about our beloved Nuggets and how they can put things together again to pole vault their way back to the NBA's elite echelons. After a lot of trade scenarios, speculation, rumor hearing, and plain old frustration, I believe that the key is patience.
We have to remember that we are playing without our 6th man, Nene. Our PF is hampered with a lot of injuries, our all-star Center is injured, as well. Add in the fact that coach Karl is not using his rookies or Vo since he asked for a trade, and we have a bad situation.
We are hovering at .500 ball with all the turmoil, but things will get better.
I think our first priority is trying to find a way to get K-Mart healthy enough to play on a nightly basis. If that means sitting him out until the second half of the season, I'm all for it. Same thing with Camby. We've seen what these guys can do when they are healthy, and we need to give them the time to heal, maybe sacarifice a few wins in the process, but reap the rewards in the long run.
Second priority is trading Vo Lenard...or else play him. It helps nobody to have a player sit on your bench, using up roster/cap space when he could be helping us in another capacity...in Vo's case, it would be in a trade. In Bryon Russel's case...I say we need to release him and sign him as a shooting coach. Once he's released, we could use his roster space to sign another big man who will replace Nene once he's traded (I think he's already gone, it's just a matter of time before we hear about it). Nene's departure will bring in a SG or a PF who could help, and then we use B-Russ's spot to sign somebody like Spree or Glenn Robinson (example, not choice) to help out down the stretch.
Send Hodge to the D-League...let the brotha play!
Play Kleiza more...and try to find a way to keep Watson...homie keeps shooting lights out!

I agree with your statements concering the Nuggets.
Only thing I'm still worried about is Kenyon Martin. The guy just can't seem to stay healthy. IMO for him to truly get healthy he would have to sit out the entire season. However that may never chance the tendinitis he has in his knee. Thats what I'm most worried about. Kenyon is not the player he once was he his speed and jumping ability is taken away from him. However I'm keeping my fingers crossed Kenyon can come back from this injury.
I agree with Vo as well. We need him out one where or another.
Seems like we are stuck in the B-Russ situation right now.
Must say though is that patience is important. Its just difficult when you feel your team isn't playing to its potential. Its been a rough and rocky start of the season since game one when Nene went down for the year.

While I'm not a doctor, I don't believe it is just tendonitis that is keeping Kenyon from playing. There appears to be something seriously wrong that either needs more rehab or another surgery.

well Horax was on to something. However now the injuries are just adding up. We do need to be patient because if no big deals happen for the Nuggets, we may miss the playoffs, and have to wait until next season to get our core healthy. That my friends will take a lot of patience. As I for one had much bigger expectations for the Nuggets this season.

Yeah haven't looked at it for awhile. I realize the Nuggets are apart of a lot of deals, but Kiki and our Management likes to say we can't evaluate our team until its healthy. They seem to think they can still skate through the year with all the injuries. I hope Camby was the last straw and the Nuggets Organization makes some smart trades.

Positive thinking! I like that.
Although I do believe our records from last season to this season are almost identical.
