Bird feels 'disappointed,' 'betrayed' by Artest's antics
It's interesting Bird calls Ron Artest Ronnie. I wonder if thats what people call Ron, or if Bird just calls him that. Check out the whole article . The link is at the bottom. Here are some of the quotes by Bird talking about Artest.

Bird made his first public comments regarding Artest, telling The Indianapolis Star that he felt "betrayed" and "disappointed" by the All-Star forward.
"I think enough is enough," Bird said. "I think Ronnie will do fine, but not here."

Well Morrison would solve our shooting woes.
I was kind of happy to see Bird speak out about Artest though. Bird got the last word on Artest. And took a jab at him regarding his lack of rebounding.

The thing is, Bird would have traded Artest at some point anyway. This just sunk the trade value. Let's be real.

i dont think it sunk his value. i think his value has been unchanged, since he teammated decided they wouldnt play with him, and he was put on the inactive list.
perfect time to trade for him. time to steal him away from a team that i thought could go to the semifinals and even beyond

morrison is consistantly dropping 30 points a game on big time opponents, always drawing their best defender and future first round nba picks. To play with carmelo would be a dream for morrison.

Ronnie as Bird calls him, was out the door it seems when he went public with all of his issues of not scoring the ball enough. Apparently Bird felt betrayed as the article says. I think in the Article too Bird is saying we are losing a top 12 guy, and not getting much back, but they dont care. Seems like there are a lot of hard feelings involved in this. Bird/Walsh - Some of the Pacers teammates have all had enough.
