Right now Denver would be out of the playoffs; however, they are only a game out of first place in the Northwest and a half game out of the final playoff spot.

The Nuggets aren't doing a good job of defending home court with an 11-7 record and they have been horrible on the road with a 5-10 record. It is only January, so a lot can change (including trades changing the landscape), but I still see the Nuggets being able to pull out the Northwest. I can't see the Timberwolves staying on top relying on Wally and Jaric and the Jazz will eventually activate Boozer and imediately start losing games.

Well i'm worried about whether or not Camby comes back healthy right now.

The Nuggets have managed to have a winning record for the first half of the season and currently lead the Northwest by a game over the TWolves.

The Northwest is currently the weakest division in the West and will be lucky to get 2 teams in the playoffs

I think we are going to be fine as far as making the playoffs. however i think we need to secure the division win or we are in bad shape. Currently the 6th seed is the Clippers, but the lakers are right there too. i think we could win either of those matchups.

The Northwest Division race is going to go down to the wire between the Jazz/Nuggets/T-Wolves. IMO none of these teams have seperated them selves from one another. I like the Nuggets chances, however that's my team.

It's early, but as of now my playoff prediction break down for the West -

1.)Spurs
2.)Suns
3.)Nuggets
4.)Mavs
5.)Lakers
6.)Grizzlies
7.)Clippers
8.)Jazz

were only 5 back of phoenix. if we go on a tear like last year, dont count out #2...

btw, IMO we are pretty much a lock for the division. minnesota has been a healthy team all year and wont get any better than they are. utah is good, but more consistant than good. nothing great...

but IMHO, when we get camby back after the all-star game, we will once again be a TOP 3 team in the western conference when its all said and done...
