Re: No riff with Karl and JR Smith
It woudl suck cause we'd never know how good, or bad, he can, or could be.
I like J. Hodge. He tore it up in D-league, and was great in college. I'm very interested to see how he'll do in the L.
JR Smith is undoubtedly a better project, but it'd be interesting to see what Hodge cuold do.

Re: No riff with Karl and JR Smith
I doubt Hodge can get minutes. If Karl intended on giving him minutes, he would've last year. With the addition of Smith, I don't see any minutes for Hodge, which is unfortunate.

Re: No riff with Karl and JR Smith
We could probably include him in a trade with KMart for (insert overpaid player here).
Or we coudl trade him for a draft pick...which would be valuable if it was next year. First rounder would be nice, but not likely.

Re: Hodge's role w/ Nuggets
Hodge is a hard nut to crack.
It's dumbfounding to me that you can earn ACC Player of the Yeah honors and then be invisible in the NBA.
Did his game peak in college and is not translating to the NBA? Did he not earn minutes? What's the deal.
I really like to see him develop into a point guard if that's where they are playing him and then see Denver boot Boykins off the team. Nugs are better off with a 6'7'' point guard than a 5'5'' one.
Although I don't see Hodge running a NBA team. He's more of a energy guy off the bench I think.

Re: Hodge's role w/ Nuggets
Hodge is a utility guy as he bring a lot of diffent things to the table. He should be able to do Josh Howard / Marquis Daniels type of things for the Nuggets. However, that normally includes making mistakes and being allowed to play through those mistakes so said player doesn't lose their confidence.

Lets see you, Timmons and I all agree that Boykins should be gone and that Karl's attitude is a problem

True, but there's no way the front office will get rid of Boykins - not yet. He's one of Karl's favorites, and apparently, his snitch.

No, Thomas and his guys weren't the only ones in the wrong Saturday. The Nuggets have their own issues. But when it was over, at least they weren't crying, at least they weren't punking.
It's all gone in New York now – the pride, the respect, the dignity. This isn't just a bad team; this is a bad act. A once proud franchise and fan base brought to its knees as its pathetic coach makes excuses and whines for mercy.

Re: Hodge's role w/ Nuggets
I can't believe that Julius won't be able to contribute to an NBA team, but what he needs is to go somewhere where he will get the oppurtunity to play even if he struggles a little in the beginning.I find it hard to believe that Karl never gave him a real chance to play SG last season. It's not like anyone else was giving the Nuggets anything. He couldn't have sucked much more than everyone else they played at the two
