Get on the Yakhouba Diawara bandwagon
I'm getting a very good feeling about Yakhouba Diawara and the impact he is going to have on the Nuggets this season. He was an undersized, defensive minded college PF that went overseas and transformed himself into a wing player. At 6 foot 7 inches and 225 pounds he is capable of defending the SG, SF & PF positions.
Karl loves the kid and the front office loves the kid. I see him getting big minutes as the season goes on and having a very solid season.
Hop on the bandwagon.

i wrote a piece where you could have taken out diawara's name an inserted stevie johnsons name. another guy that was a college PF that went overseas and lit the league up for 35 points and 14 rebounds a game and became a 3 point shooter. So i cant be a hypocrite about bringing those guys over, however, before I jump on a wagon.... I need to see some production out of this guy

Re: Get on the Yakhouba Diawara bandwagon
I'll jump on the band-wagon
first no one expected something out of him and then coach Karl only said good things about him and we all hoped he could be a solid NBA-player, even this year.
What I've seen from him he looked like a SF that ist fast enough to guard SGs and he wasn't that strong as a three-point threat, but he was good in posting-up. Ok, we need a three-point threat, but I think he has the potential to become a good shooter and in defense, I liked him very much.
Because I didn't expect anything out of him first, and now he seems at least to be a good prospect, I'll jump on it

Re: Get on the Yakhouba Diawara bandwagon
what bandwagon??? ive been high on him since the start. hes literally better than buck in every aspect of the game. then u add JR and we will be solid for a bunch of years! i just wish we coulda grabbed a vet who can get us a RING...NOW! u know...?
what, let me guess, estratt says he is playing well so u jumped on the "ship" cpaw? lol too funny...
anyways theres no wagon since he hasnt done anything yet. so how about just being a fan because he plays in blue and gold?

No, Thomas and his guys weren't the only ones in the wrong Saturday. The Nuggets have their own issues. But when it was over, at least they weren't crying, at least they weren't punking.
It's all gone in New York now – the pride, the respect, the dignity. This isn't just a bad team; this is a bad act. A once proud franchise and fan base brought to its knees as its pathetic coach makes excuses and whines for mercy.

Can you be any more of an *** and more wrong at the same time?
I've been very intrigued by what the scouting department saw in him since he was signed. Throughout training camp and the scrimages he has defended well and he has garnered nothing but praise from everyone. My opinion isn't based upon information from anyone person. I read a ton of information and actually talk/chat with others to get my info.
There is a wagon because I'm starting one here at bbb.net. This is about more than being a fan of him because he is a Nugget. The Yak has become my second favorite Nugget.

Re: Get on the Yakhouba Diawara bandwagon
isnt that more of a fan club? i just dont think "bandwagon" is appropriate since he hasnt done ANYTING yet. if ur a nuggets fan...then ur a "fan" of every player no? well u should be anyway...i mean i hate boykins, but while hes still on this team im going to support him every way i can. same with karl and kmart. no reason to hope they suck cuz all it does is hurt ur own team.
if anything go tell fans of other teams to join the "bandwagon". we already know about the yak.

Re: Get on the Yakhouba Diawara bandwagon
What bandwagon? He hasn't played an NBA game, so there's nothing to be excited about. He wasn't exactly a stellar player overseas. There should be absolutely no expectations about this guy. There's nothing to evaluate him off of.

Re: Get on the Yakhouba Diawara bandwagon
nah yak will get 8 a game. i see him playing some BIG minutes because his defense is the best on the team. its defenitely going to be a challenge having to work kleiza, yak, DJ, joe smith, evans, and najera all into the lineup...and dont forget about his favorite lil squirl earl! thats why i got a strong feeling dre is gonna lose some minutes this year! especially being out of shape and all...
