Game 4: Nuggets at Sixers
Hopefully the Nuggets will start a winning streak tonight.
Things I'd like to see:
1) Reggie Evans get some playing time
2) Earl Boykins get less playing time
3) Not getting outscored in the 4th quarter

[sarcasm]
I fully expect the Nuggets to go on a tear and start winning games so that I have to hear about how the Nuggets record is so much better when Kenyon doesn't play

I agree on all counts.
I'm mystified by why Najera is starting over Nene, Evans, and Smith. He's a nice, scrappy "energy guy" that any team would want to have--coming off the bench. The rest of Denver's starting five isn't so impressive that they can really afford to donate a spot to a Kurt Rambis-type floorburn specialist, when there's better talent languishing on the bench.
Evans, as long as his brain doesn't suffer a Fortson-like meltdown, shows clear signs of becoming a monster rebounder. Smith is a tough, clever vet who can do more than has been asked of him the last couple seasons. And Nene needs a chance to start earning his whopping contract.
What am I missing here?

Karl has that coach by gut feel mentality and for some unknown reason he thinks Najera gives him a better chance of winning. Hopefully, three L's will change that.
Nene is going to struggle with 25 minutes per game for some time while his knee gets back to "normal" As it is, it swells up on him after each game (according to the doctors that is to be expected and it won't result in more damage). Plus, from what I've seen, Nene doesn't match up as well against starters right now because he doesn't have his full explosiveness. So limited minutes against backups gives the Nuggets greater production.

Re: Game 4: Nuggets at Sixers
We're not having any problems scoring, we're third in the league in scoring. We're 26th right now in scoring defense and opponent FG%. And the odd thing is, we're getting torched by guys you wouldn't expect it from.
Craig Smith - 20 points on 10 of 15 shooting in 16 minutes
Cassell - 35 on 13 of 24 shooting
Crawford - 35 7 and 6
Kyle Korver - 23 points on 9 of 16 shooting
Dalembert - 17 and 8 on 7 of 8 shooting
With Kenyon now gone again, we need Nene back to 100%, and fast. And that is gonna be a problem.

Re: Game 4: Nuggets at Sixers
im sick of guards killing us. it happened all year last year too. dre, boykins, jr has to be the worst defensive back court in the nba. this is why it was SOOOO freaking important to trade dre for artest. i will hate that horrible decision for life...

If Thomas wants to stop people from running up the score on him, then he should have built a better club. He shouldn't have wasted all that money on illogical signings, outrageous trades and heartless characters.
No, Thomas and his guys weren't the only ones in the wrong Saturday. The Nuggets have their own issues. But when it was over, at least they weren't crying, at least they weren't punking.
It's all gone in New York now – the pride, the respect, the dignity. This isn't just a bad team; this is a bad act. A once proud franchise and fan base brought to its knees as its pathetic coach makes excuses and whines for mercy.
