would you do this trade with houston?

if denver traded down(let's say to the 6th pick like robyg has on his mock. he has something like odom and 6th for 3rd. that seems like a great deal for denver), would you trade that pick(6th) and nene to the rockets for francis?(this assumes ford would be available at 6 for the rockets to pick) you lose one of the big building blocks but add a player that is close to being a superstar. then you could still sign arenas and have an arenas/francis backcourt. definately one of the best backcourts in the league if not the best. then you still have guys like white, skita, and whoever you get from la in the frontcourt and i'm pretty sure you would have more cap for frontcourt guys too.

what do you think? would you do it?

lmao. nene and 6 for francis? no.

why?

1. arenas is just like francis and we can get arenas while keeping nene and our pick

2. arenas is younger too and did alot in terms of improving the warriors

3. francis still cant get a talented rockets team anywhere

4. lose nene? i dont think so!

5. lose cap space too! yuck!

so id rather keep melo, keep nene, sign arenas, than trade it all for francis. wed have some cap space left but its not worth it at all.

The question is why would you do that? You guys were 2 games from making the playoffs last year in Yao's rookie season, I expect the Rockets to be a 50 game winner next year. Francis would bring you more in the upcoming seasons if he can learn to play with Yao.

because nene would be the perfect guy to have playing next to ming. ming would be more of the finesse guy and nene would be the hard working good rebounder and defender. and ford could do a great job running an offense with a big man. he can get ming the ball in all the right places to make it easier for him.

Getting Nene would put you guys back at least two years. Stevie Franchise is already a sure fire superstar and Nene still needs to develop. Plus tj is very overrated.
Possible Lineup-
PG-TJ Ford
SG-Cuttino Mobely
SF-James Posey
PF-Nene
C-Yao Ming
This team wouldn't even be in the playoffs next year and would be moving back in development, doesn't make sense.
Better Lineup-
PG-Steve Francis
SG-Cuttino Mobley
SF-James Posey
PF-Maurice Taylor
C-Yao Ming
With added pieces in the next two years these team could contend for a title

Exactly...why would Houston ever want to do that?? you dont need two allstar bigmen inside...its better to have an allstar guard and an allstar center than 2 big men
