the only reason i watch the sixers at all now is because of Korver, I havent followed them closely since Mutombo was there. I can take your advice on Salmons based on what you've said about him with the 76ers (athough im sure he has grown as a player since then, or at the very least found a system he does well in).
When it comes to Jones I'd suggest asking Laker fans. I watched him a lot on the Lakers. Now as always it comes down to matchups. Hes best at the 3, but I've seen him successfuly fill in at the two and the four during Laker games.
I dont know what he got cut, he could be out of shape or who knows, but based on what I've seen from him previous... you have got to sign him.
He's 28 despite having 8 years of league experience, he came out of Georgia early around age 19 or 20. He can play too, I remember him scoring over 30 with the Lakers before. He can rebound pretty good too.
I'm not saying start him at the two, Id say it about Udoke, but I'm not saying do it with Jones. Id give him a shot at it though. I know he can play... signing him allows the Nuggets to explore trade options with Najera.
From my last thread. I remember reading the last remark the the Nuggets have needed a two guard since Fat Lever retired. Exactly why the Nuggets arent contenders. Shopping Najera could lead to something that could fill that hole.
