based on the up and down nugget posts in this forum and the start of the college season I thought Id drop a few names to watch this season. I really can say I've seen some spirited play and hard work by the Nuggets, and on the other hand I also can recall the Celtics game.
I do have to give some props for Linas Kleiza. I still laugh that the team website has him listed as a guard/forward, but he has stepped up his play. And why trade Najera for a shooting guard when he is a smoking hot 45% from behind the arc.At 5 for 11 this year I'd say the Nuggets have a three point specialist.

.
Obviously based on what I've seen the Nuggets still need to trade for a wing. I'm still holding out hope that they do make a trade this year, but barring a trade my opinion stands that the Nuggets are not a contending team in the West.
While a trade is nice I'd like to start a thread dedicated to analyzing young wing talent coming into the league.
The Nuggets have their pick this summer. Plus they could trade up or get any extra pick.
Bill Walker would be a good fit for the Nuggets. He's 6'5 or 6'6 and is an incredible athlete. His partner in crime Beasley will recieve all the attention this year. Its safe to say Bill Walker is not a lotto lock. Walker could drop as low as 20 or 22 based on what draft boards think if he comes out this year. If the Nuggets could draft him with their pick I would consider it a steal.
Eric Gordon. I'm not going to list Mayo or Rose, because I expect them off the board in the top 3. Gordon is 4th on my board, but he could drop all the way to the later part of the lotto based on teams drafting for need. Personally I wouldnt pass on Gordon at four, but if he is available past that the Nuggets should look to move up.
Brandon Rush should be available when the Nuggets pick.
Donte Green is currently my 5th player off the board, but that of course could change over the NCAA season. Green at 6'10 would be an interesting choice to play at SF and move Melo to the 4.
I also have to make a F/C suggestion. Its early but there is a freshman flying way under the radar. Craig Brackins has looked poised as hell for a new incoming freshman. We are talking major steal potiental either this summer or the following. He's 6'10 225lbs. He's pretty strong and really athletic. Hes averaging 14.5 ppg 9 rebounds 1.5 blocks per game on 53% shooting. Brackins has shown low post skills (surpisingly polished moves) as well as the ability to knock down his open three point shots.
