Looking at today in a positive light
Ok, so we didn't get a big time player to help us out...let's look at some positives here.
For all intents and purposes, our PG position is shaky with Atkins' health and AC playing above himself for who knows how long.
Von Wafer wasn't getting any PT...so we traded him for Taurean Green, a 2 time national champion at Florida. He's a rookie, and he's lightnign fast from the reports I've read.
We really did need a backup PG, and we got a solid, young, cheap one to mold the way the organization wants. Not a bad pickup. Not great, but he could be really solid like Robert Pack in 2 years or so.
We just learned that Nene is having chemo, so he'll be out longer. Hopefully he'll get back with about a month left in the season so he can get in shape for the playoffs. He'd bring another dimension to our game if he can do that.
Chucky Atkins??? If he gets healthy, he can help us out...but I'm not holding my braeth on the aging PG. I doubt he'll be back next year unless we can't move him.
All in all, we have several budding players (JR Smith adn Kleiza) who are only getting better, some solid All-Stars in Melo and AI, great near-all-stars in Camby and KMart, and some hustlers (Najera) who constantly play above themselves.
Will we make the finals? It's possible. Whoever we play in the playoffs will have their hands full. Let's hope we can get healthy and gel befoer then.
If this doesnt' work, fire Karl.

Yeah...I was kind of leaning towards getting Artest, but unlike some other teams which just had to make a move, I think not making one wasn't as bad as it could be.

One on one, even one on two, when the guy they call the Answer is on a one-way trip to the basket, you better just foul him. People can hate all day about the number of shot attempts. But, damn, give him props for even getting them up. He's small enough to have every shot contested. That 39% shooting sounds terrible to the regular reader, but have you seen these NBA players lately?"

Nah just trying to be positive the complete opposite of what you ever feel. But dont worry thats over. Denver went out and sent a message to both the front office and George Karl. A big thanks for the F'n help guys and its only fitting that LK goes for 0 points in almost 20 minutes.
I almost hope we miss the playoffs badly now and GK is immediately fired.

Re: Looking at today in a positive light
Can anyone provide a feasible argument as to why Karl isn't the worst coach in the league after tonight? He railroaded J.R. in the media after the game.

Re: Looking at today in a positive light
What did he say about JR? I missed the game due to an ailing grandmother in hospice, but I saw that he hit for 43 points!
What did he do wrong?
