Already give me hell guys (keep it within site guidelines though). I picked the Fakers to win this series and I was dead wrong. I want you guys to pick out a sig for me to have this summer but again within site guidelines. I am thinking that my sig should be this

I may not be the most popular person in the pistons forum after this but sadly the pistons run will end here. Its tough coming to that conclusion as a pistons fan but sometimes you just have to face facts. As good as Ben and Rasheed are they won't be able to shut down O'Neal over a 7 game series. Tay's a good defender but he had his problems guarding Jefferson and last time I checked Kobe is about 72 times better than RJ offensively. I like the Chauncey/GP matchup unforunetaly LB doesn't like his PG to score or at least make scoring his first option. Rip will be able to get his points but unless he drops 40 points every game that won't be enough to win 4 games. We do have a better bench but this is the finals Kobe and Shaq will play at least 40 minutes. So while Okur can run circles around Slava Medvedenko its only going last for about 4 minutes before Jackson gets disgusted and puts Shaq back in the game. I intially thought the Lakers would win it in 5 but I will give my pistons more credit and say Lakers in 6.

Don't be so hard on yourself, I spilled my guts on the Portland board during halftime.

While most of us, including myself thought at the begining of the season that the Lakers had loaded up for the NBA Champoinship with the additions of Karl Malone and Gary Payton. How could this team of 4 future HOF players lose? I bought in to it, the Lakers bought into it, and most of you bought into it. I mean, why even play the season, the Lakers were stacked, right?

Something happened on the way to the Championship people, someone forgot to tell the Detroit Pistons that they were playing the unbeatable Los Angeles Lakers. Those poor Pistons won't stand a chance against the Mighty Lakers, right? I had seen everything from Laker sweep to my pick, Los Angeles in 6 games. Boy oh boy, were we wrong.

Mr. Thompson was quoted as saying that the Lakers were playing five guys against eight in the NBA Finals. Mr. Thompson is a silly guy, isn't he? I mean, who are these five guys that are playing against the Pistons? I can think of one guy that is doing his job and that is Shaq and okay, Kobe is playing a modified game of horse or something, but who are these other three players? No my friends, the Lakers believed their own hype just like the rest of us and are paying the price.

There was a player that use to play here in Portland that had some great sayings. I would like to use one of them right now if I may be so bold, but I will put my twist to it.

One team played hard!

I think that you would be better for the long haul if you had something like this.......

It's times like this where I am glad that my biased love for the Pistons exceeded any sort of realistic expectations involving the HOF team built to win this, and only this, championship.
