Game 2: Detroit vs Memphis

Important game for the pistons considering they hit the west coast after this game and we know how well they did on the west coast last year . This should be another game we win. I think that we should see a big game out of our pgs and probably rip too.

i think the grizz could come away with this one. they are a wild card right now and could easily outscore this detroit team if the pistons aren't on their game.

Love the quote from Jon Barry on this game

Quote:
"I think they are going to be in for a rude awakening," Barry said. "They aren't going to come in here and be as freewheeling as they were against the Mavericks. We are going to put the wood to them and show them what the Eastern Conference is like."
the confidence this team shows is impressive considering everybody is writing them off but hey one day people will realize that defense wins basketball games.

don't worry spartanfan I plan on spending a lot of time on the grizz board this year counting their losses for this is probably the year we finnally take that draft pick

BTW how much is state going to lose by tommorow at the big house? Of course being the betting man that I am I did take state plus 14 in my football pool at work. I can't believe I actually took state but I don't see michigan beating them by much. Anyways what do all the people at michigan state have in common? They all didn't get into michigan lol okay I know its not funny but I had to keep it clean.

I'm hoping we start the game better than against the Knicks. Don't take this the wrong way Grizz fans, but I wouldn't mind seeing Memphis lose 60 games and get the second pick in next years draft .

Here is the boxscore no suprise detroit had there way with the grizz. Rip had a great all round game he had 23 pts on 7 for 15 shooting he also had 5 rebounds and attacked the basket and also hit the 3. Memo and Prince also made it on to the floor tonight. Prince played good d and hit a couple of shots and so did memo. Hopefully this momentum will continue as we head out west.

Very good win. Even though Memphis isn't the best team, Detroit jumped all over them early and kept the intensity throughout the game. I saw alot of things that I liked while I was watching the game: very unselfish game.

BTW - I was at this Detroit/Memphis game... my first one ever. It was pretty fun, but I should have brought binoculars, I was sitting in Row 65ZZZ (or - the second to last from the top). But it was really fun, I was there with some buddies of mine... the atmosphere is totally different in the stadium than watching it on TV.

I was there for my first playoff games last year game 2 against the raptors and game 5 against the celtics I didn't really feel the playoff atomosphere against the raptors but the game against the celtics was awesome well other than the fact that we lost the game. This years playoffs will be even crazier though now that I am old enough to .
