I've pretty much given up on signing Okur for the MLE for two reasons.
1. I think he is after the money and PT (I don't blame him)
2. In the end I won't be as upset if he decides to leave.
That being said, it would be a pleasant suprise if he decided to stick around. At the present time I feel we should pursue Sto Swift or split the MLE on a backup PF (Cardinal) and another player.

My list would be
1.Sheed
2.Okur
3.B. Barry
4.K. Dooling
5.Our other FAs
It is just my opionon but I hope that we never ever get cardinal, i have never been a fan, and I really don't think that I ever will be, I think that he is the kinda player that plays great for bad teams, (J. rose, J.howard) just some examples...

While I like Dooling, I'm actually a big fan, I don't think he would fit in right in Detroit. I think he may very well be a better player than Hunter and James, but how much would it cost to get him? And is he really a better fit than Hunter or James? My answer would be no. Dooling is still a player trying to find his way in the league and as the defending champions and going into what I hope is a string of seasons that we have a legit shot at winning the title, I would rather have an established vet who knows exactly what he is doing and whose main concern is winning.

I totally agree with what you are saying det, but I think that alot of players that play for a losing team for so long love to play for a real competitor, and for less money, but then sometimes they don't.it would be intresting to see what is gonna happen this off season alot of big moves and big names going all over the place...

I would say Rasheed is the solid #1 choice.
2nd I would be going after Brent Barry but if we couldn't get him I wouldn't mind seeing UofM Alum Jamal Crawford 3rd. He might not be a perfect fit but any time you can add a guy who can get hot and score 30 in a game your doing ok. Like I said hes not a great fit but I wouldn't mind seeing it. 4th I would be looking at Swift. If we can't touch him I would say 5th would be us just trying to resign some of our guys.
I don't think we need Memo really because if we did wouldn't we have played him somepoint during the playoffs. Elden did more then he did and Okur got put out on the Darko line.

i understand what you are saying but I think that J. crawford would not be good to bring to D, because of the chemistry

I think we should go after Kobe
He can be our back up shooting guard we always needed.
Stromile Swift would be nice to have coming off the bench too.

1.Sheed
2.Okur
3.Swift only if we don't get Okur
4.B Barry
5.Hunter But I doubt he's going anywhere
I wouldn't even want to look at Crawford to tell the truth I think he'd be a cancer to the team.

If Rasheed didn't become a cancer how would Crawford? Just because a he takes a lot of shots on a bad team doesn't mean he would mold into our system he's still very young.
