after reading a post on here about this i began to search different sites and i have seen it a few times now the pistons offering okur a 6yr 40 million contract. will okur sign with us for this price? if the jazz or some other team offers him more will he leave? personally i hope he stays.

Utah is the only team were fighting with right now. Denver has the money but can't start him. Utah is big on Ginobili and it depends on if they can get him or not what happens to Okur. Okur's offer from Detroit was just the MLE and then all of or close to all of our free money is being offered to Rasheed.

I sure hope that he stays but with some of the contracts that I have seen already, it is no wonder why he wouldn't go anywhere else.

I don't think the Jazz will over pay for Okur. He's a talented player but I don't think they want to spend that much on him.

I've read a couple of articles that claim Okur is looking for 6 years and $65 million. If he wants that type of money, I'd rather he leave.

on www.memo13.com okur says we havent yet to offer him a contract until today

I thought the pistons couldn't offer okur anything but MLE until sheed is either resigned for a smaller salary or renounced?

We can offer the MLE at any time. I'm pretty sure it's only us verus the Jazz right now and they seem very busy with Ginobili. I like Okur but if he wants 65 million he needs to leave.
