Delfino not on the playoff roster
Heard on the radio this afternoon that Delfino isn't a 100%. They are worried that if he gets hurt he will be a dead spot on the roster. So Darko and Ham both made it.

Re: Delfino not on the playoff roster
I couldn't believe it when I heard this.
Here's a clip of Joe D. explaining it: http://www.mlive.com/pistons/audio/audio02.html
They say he isn't 100% and what not, but it's not like he's going to be logging major minutes.
They're afraid of Delfino getting hurt and wasting a roster spot, but Darvin Ham IS a wasted roster spot. He doesn't bring anything that multiple other bench players don't already bring.

Re: Delfino not on the playoff roster
I gotta agree with MLKG here, as much as I like Darvin Ham, I would rather take the chance on Delfino.

Re: Delfino not on the playoff roster
I was surprised to hear it, but having thought it over I agree. I'm sure Brown would hit the roof if you stuck him with Darko and Delfino. He needs Ham like a child needs their security blanket. And Ham is useful for end of game situations where you need a stop to secure a victory. Delfino can't shoot or play defense. Darko could be useful.

Re: Delfino not on the playoff roster
All that things about him not being at 100% or about his injury are BS, Brown didn't want Delfino on the PO roster for a reason or other, that's it

Re: Delfino not on the playoff roster
I didn't get a chance to listen to Joe D.'s interview, because my realplayer is down. But...
I'm a little disappointed in this decision, but it's not earth shattering. All it does is assure Lindsey Hunter and Carlos Arroyo of more minutes. Losing Delfino is tough, but Dumars had to seriously have doubts about how Delfino's knee would hold up to come to a decision like this.

Joe said he talked to Larry and John Hammond about it, but it sounds like it was mostly Joe's call and he seemed very confident about it being the right move.
Who knows, maybe it was.

If that's for real, that's not a good news for delfino's knee.

Re: Delfino not on the playoff roster
I don't like this. Ham does nothing for me. He doesnt even shatter rims any more
He is seriously a waste of playoff roster space.

Re: Delfino not on the playoff roster
Pistons need to make decision whether they need their foreign players or not. This has gone to far, memo, darko, arroyo and now delfino are to much to not think larry has some ego problems against foreign players.Looks like to me they can win c'ships without those guys,so why do they draft them?.I rspect Dumars as gm,but he should of told delfino face to face instead of this leaking to the media 1st.Dumars needs to make his mind up,if he doesn't need the foreigners,i say trade them. That way you help your franchise and you help them out also.Ham over Delfino, hahahahaha, biggest joke ever.

Paulding Paulding chants are coming from this way too
If Delfino isn't healthy we can't use him. Does this really mean Darko is now the 11th man? Wow what a week

I find it hard to believe he found out through the media.
Joe was on the radio at around 3 and said he had talked to him about it, whether or not he understood what was going on is another thing.....
