Arroyo ready to go all Mike James on our next poor opponent

Quote:
AUBURN HILLS -- It's usually one of the most intense competitions in Pistons practice day after day.

Guards Carlos Arroyo and Horace Jenkins usually are the last to leave the practice floor, exhausted after playing one-on-one until somebody claims victory.

They trade their best moves, and best trash talk, in a quest to improve each other's games.

The hard truth is this: Arroyo, a reserve, is the one who will get the playoff minutes. Jenkins knows he won't play because he's not on the playoff roster.

But status doesn't matter. Arroyo is trying to stay sharp, and Jenkins wants to help him.

"I was looking at the Indiana film, of our final game last year, Mike James didn't play a minute. And everybody knows the contribution he made to our team. But he didn't play a minute in one game, and he was ready to play and did an unbelievable job. I think we all have to keep that in mind."

Detroit News

Great to see...for some reason I get the feeling Brown and Arroyo have a rocky relationship, but not rocky enough to damage. I honestly think it's an honest, straight forward relationship where they both respect each other. I think it's going to take off real soon and we're going to start seeing dividends.

Arroyo will fit with LB because he is a much more regular thinking PG compared to Billups. I am sure they will get along in due time.

Definitley and if Brown can help Billups as much as he helped Arroyo we could potentially have three All-Star guards in our back court. Not all in the same season, but if given the oppurtunity. Arroyo is a game changer, simple as that, look what he did in the Olympics. This could be one of the best trades of Dumars career so far (which is saying a lot)
