Re: The "Wade" Rules
Prince is one of the best jump shooter defenders in the league, but he's been hurt by Wade's slashing ability. I would expect we'll see more of Hunter defending Wade in tonight's game, which is fine as long as Hunter's not shooting.

Re: The "Wade" Rules
Lindsey Hunter is a very rhythmic shooter, though. Remember when he was with us back in the day? He averaged something like 43% from beyond the arc one year and was regularly around 38%... taking somewhere around four tres per game. If he is getting 20 minutes guarding Wade, I see him heating up from the field as well. He's a proven decent shooter, but when he is getting only 2-3 minutes at a time, 3 times per game...

Re: The "Wade" Rules
I'm with froggy on Hunter. As long as he doesn't shoot he's fine. It honestly seems like he only makes about 3 or 4 jumpers a month, if that. The problem is if Wade scores on Hunter then what? Tayshaun seems resigned to the "fact" that he can't keep up with Wade, thus not being able to guard him.

We played unspired Defense in the first half, also thank the refs, that Shaq was out, but hey, you guys won the game. You did a better job frustating Wade, he played, a bad game, still, scorch 28 points, but we lost, so you won. We getting back at you in Miami, you still haven't stop the boy, and Shaq, you did a great job on him thanks to the refs, (by keeping him of the court, on some BS calls) But whatever, will be back in form in game 5, am out.

Re: The "Wade" Rules
I find it laughable that during game one the Heat fans called for the refs' heads because there weren't many fouls called. Games two and three go by, and the wishes of every Heat fan come to pass: The refs call an intense and whistle-heavy game, with free-throws galore... and the Heat win both games. The reffing is praised.
Game four is called in an identical fashion, but because the Heat lose, the refs are ridiculed. Look at these numbers...
GAME TWO:
5 on Udon, 4 on Eddie, Shaq, Zo
4 on Elden, Sheed, Rip, Prince
GAME THREE:
6 on Zo, 5 on Wade, Jones, 4 on Shaq
6 on Chaunce, 5 on McD, Sheed, Ben, 4 on Rip, Prince
GAME FOUR:
5 on Eddie, 4 on Shaq, Udon, Wade
6 on Sheed, 4 on Ben, McD
The games were all called the same, with relatively consistent calls between the teams... but the reffing is terrible because of one bad call. The call that was Shaq's third foul was definitely a bad one, but COME ON... they give that guy so many calls through the night that one bad call against him is to be expected on occasion.
I don't get how the Heat fans can praise the refs for the middle two and criticize them for the fourth.... yeah, thank the refs... riiiight.
