LB vs. Flip
LB is one of the best coaches of all time, a master X's and O's guy, but he doesn't always have the best relationship with all of his players.
Flip on the other hand is a players' coach and from what I hear some say he is a good basketball mind, but he he has problems adjusting during the game. He also works well with the offense.
I'm not asking who is the better coach, but do you fell losing LB and gaining Flip will result in more W's, less W's, or about the same.
I understand it's not totally up to the coaches that determines how a team performs, but what do you see happening for us in the win column?

I think I could coach this team and our defense would be excellent. I think Flip will allow for the offense to open up and for players to grow. Guys like Arroyo, Darko, and Delfino all just got new chances to find a big role within the team and that is key.

Re: LB vs. Flip
I think that during the regular season we may have more wins. I am sure that Flip won't have quite the same leash on Billups that LB had. I would be willing to bet that Billups scores at least 40 one game this season. The only thing I am worried about is if we are as good of a playoff team as we have been.

Remember Flip coached Billups for 2 years already, if anyone responds well to him of the bat, it should be Billups. I forgot about that but Flip talked about it a few times in his press conf. today

Re: LB vs. Flip
The past two seasons under Brown we've had slow starts, and I'm not sure why that's happened. Seems like we've been at or around .500 for the first couple months of the season under Brown before turning it on and ending between 50-55 wins.
I said we'll have more wins (regular season) under Saunders, not because I think overall Flip is a better coach, but because I'm optimistic and I hope we can avoid a slow start this year. With the talent of this team, it shouldn't really matter who the coach is because they're capable of winning 60+ games.
Even if we have more regular season wins under Saunders than we did with LB, it doesn't really matter unless we get back to the finals and (hopefully) win it.

Re: LB vs. Flip
my guess is the starters get a little more rest(much needed) and the bench subsequently gets more of a role. more wins.

Re: LB vs. Flip
I think we will have more losses and maybe not make it back to the finals. On the plus side, the young guys should finally get a chance to sink or swim, rather than rot. LB was and is by far the more effective coach at winning basketball games and the results this season will show that. Unless I'm full of it. Which is quite possible. (hopefully! )
