Dennis Pauley of Taylor, Mich., was arrested immediately after the April 26 incident at the Palace of Auburn Hills. It happened during Game 2 of the first round of the playoffs.

The 31-year-old Pauley pleaded guilty in June to a misdemeanor charge of throwing an object onto a playing surface.

The incident did not escalate into a conflict on the scale of the November brawl involving Pistons fans and Indiana Pacers players.

The judge also put Pauley on two years' probation. He's forbidden to drink alcohol during that time.

This is for the few idiots on the site that said Palace security do nothing and expect that they should prevent all incoming phone calls and change arenas. The kid that threw one coin which AI barely noticed gets two years probation, five day jail time in god knows where, and gives out a public apology. Watch these Pistons haters call for a more severe death sentence now.

This is semi-off topic, but have any of the other Pistons fans from the brawl had any jail time?

Everyone got probation that I have read about. The original beer thrower was facing some trouble still last I heard but that was because he already had a recorder.

But you could say this guy got more of a sentance then any of the other fighters.

Good, throw the guy in jail. Just enough time for him to get his *** kicked a few times. I'm sure there are a few AI fans in the Michigan prisons. There is no need for people like that in our arena.

5 days only gets you county jail. He won't be in general population there even.

The guy pretty much put icing on the cake for us Detroit fans being known as the dirtiest fans around.

So throwing a coin at a player is worse than throwing a steel chair into a crowd knocking out some guy or starting a brawl?
