Wishful thinking
Hopefully Ben will challenge McDyess for leader in FG% this season. That would probably signify that Ben’s offensive freedom has been revoked.
I personally believe that he benefits the team more by concentrating all of his energy on defense and rebounding (the Rodman role). His offence should come off of hustle plays, lobs, drop passes, dish offs and put backs. Only when teams are ignoring him completely should the outside mid range shot be utilized (just to keep them somewhat honest).
At no point (and I repeat… no point) should the team be running set plays to post Ben unless he is being defended by a guard (at which point it would probably be more of an on the fly isolation play as opposed to a set play in the offensive game plan). The Hunter Ben Wallace side pick and roll should also be scrapped.
Running offence through Ben consistently is basically throwing away possessions (IMO).
If he can average 8-10 points per game on basically hustle and cleanup plays the Pistons would benefit greatly.

Damn good post Enig... I particularly like the part about Dale Davis and Ben Wallace's offensive contributions, which I full-heartedly agree with.
As for me:
PPG – Hamilton between 18-19 ppg. Hopefully with all the hype about Flip's offensive coaching abilities the team's scoring will be up pushing Hamilton up to the 20 ppg mark. One thing that I'd like to see him get away from is the one-on-one play that he seemed to gravitate to last season. He needs to get back to the pick and pop, and catch and shoot part of his game.
b]RPG[/b] – Ben and pretty easily. Next place Sheed, but it won't really be close with Sheed probaly coming within 3 or 4 rebounds of Ben.
APG – Billups, but hopefully Hamilton can continue to improve and push his up to above 5 per as well.
SPG – Ben -- very underrated and underappreciated part of his game. One of the only big men in the top 1o along with, I believe, Chris Webber. Rip will probaly come in second, his quickness allows him to get in passing lanes, so he'll get a couple.
BPG – Ben.
MPG – Rip and hopefully it tops off at about 36 minutes. That'll mean our bench is coming through and playing a significant role.
Most fastbreak dunks - Prince -- Best dunks/min - Maurice Evans
