Man these dudes on the Pistons must looooooooove this. They bust their asses and win a championship 2 years ago when everyone said they'd get swept by the Fakers and after they win it everyone calls them fluke champs AND then they make it BACK to the finals after enduring a hellacious season full of distractions and come one quarter away from beating the Spurs with virtually no bench and a coach with one foot out the door. They do all this and people still have the nerve to say they were a Dwayne Wade injury away from being at home? That's disrespect in the fullest. Wade played so I could care less about what ifs. Rip was hurt and he made it through the playoffs.........whatever. Just say we beat them and leave it at that.....no damn excuses. I hope the Pistons bury these guys.
True, it is unfortunate but the losing team only remembers their injuries and rarely remembers any struggles and hardships the victor may have had to endure.

Seriously though, you are right, and like you said I'm sure the guys on the team love it. People are always gonna blame losses on injuries...but what they forget is that durability as a trait is just as important as having a good jump shot.

Don't get me wrong I like what Jersey is doing but they have zero in the post. I don't think they can win without atleast someone being able to score in the paint.

I'm excited about the Pistons this season. That's because of my man Darko Milicic. Man, so far his shot blocking ability makes Big Ben looks like Spud Webb. Ben, Rasheed, Darko, Prince. It's the Block Party!
The Pistons front court is their greatest asset: The ability to block shots, and run the floor if they desire will make it difficult to beat this team.
Their Weakness: Coaching experience Flip Saunders has never led a team to the NBA finals. The closest was the 2003 Timberwolves, I am a Pistons fan but I am concerned about any and all weaknesses. This is one of them.
But Saunders was always stuck with undermanned rosters. Saunder's overachieved almost every year with the Timberwolves, a few years ago, he was stuck with an undeveloped KG and a bunch of scrubs. So an inexperienced team team with a lack of talent falling apart in the playoffs was understandable.
In 2003, the Timberwolves overachieved again and they would have probably had a great battle against the Spurs in the WCF had it not been for Cassel's injury. So i don't think getting a much stronger roster like the Pistons into the Finals this year is so farfetched at all. I could possibly be more content with Flip Saunders coaching the regular season and Brown coaching hi style of play in the playoffs, but obviously that can't happen. Saunders should make a good run, if not all the way, in the playoffs.

Rick Carisle had no trouble winning in Detroit and he had zero experience. Flip went to the playoffs how many times in how many years?
