Preseason Game #8: @ Minnesota
Friday, 8:00pm
at Timberwolves
October 28, 2005
Quote:
The Minnesota Timberwolves (3-4) will take on the Detroit Pistons (4-3) for the second time this preseason, tonight beginning at 8:00 p.m. at The Rushmore Plaza Civic Center in Rapid City, S.D. The match up represents the last preseason game for both teams, as they gear up for the regular season opener on Wednesday, Nov. 2.
In the teams’ first preseason match up on Oct. 16, Detroit topped Minnesota 91-80. Tied at halftime 44-44, the Pistons outscored the Wolves 36-47 in the second half en route to their third straight win of the preseason. Richie Frahm led the way for the Timberwolves with 13 points, while Kevin Garnett added 11 points and 7 rebounds in 22 minutes on the floor. Due to injuries, the Timberwolves were without veterans Wally Szczerbiak, Marko Jaric, Troy Hudson, and Michael Olowokandi.

*I will have play by play as well as a double header article including tonights game and last nights game.

Re: Preseason Game #8: @ Minnesota
I wouldn't expect to see much of the starters in this one. Darko might as well get the start for working hard this summer.

Hard for me to do play by play when I can't see it!
Well my next article will be a preseason wrap up.

What a showing by Arroyo and Evans, this bench has the potential to be better than the bench of our championship team. I just so wish we still had Mike James.

Re: Preseason Game #8: @ Minnesota
So much for not picking up a 3-point shooter in the offseason.
Evans finishes the preseason 18-30 from deep.
The two games he's gone crazy in are the two games that haven't been televised here. Hoping I get to see him do more of the same in the coming weeks.

Re: Preseason Game #8: @ Minnesota
Not only can this second unit score, they have shown that they are completely willing to make hustle plays and get after the other team on defense. I hope Flip tries to keep this unit as intact as possible and tries to use them for a lift and not just to rest the starters.

I hope your right. The Pistons do have the best starting 5 in the NBA but if you can keep the bench rolling like they are, that would be promising.
I like how everyone is playing off the bench. Besides Darko and Evans playing great, I am really impressed with Arroyo thus far. I like how he is playing.

Arroyo looks like he is freelancing again and playing how he did when he first came over from Utah. It really shows the players have bought into the idea of a fresh start with Flip and it is paying off in their play.

Re: Preseason Game #8: @ Minnesota
Carlos had a nice double double there, and Darko continues to impress. And Evans has been doing solid, that has to be more then 41.2 percent from three.
